      Hi Fhell,

Thanks for being a TC Electronic customer!

Your Studio Konnekt 48 will work just fine in macOS Mojave.

If You, later on, would like to upgrade to macOS Catalina, the TC Near control panel and the mixer doesn't support 64bit, but You will still be able to use the inputs and outputs of the Studio Konnekt 48

    Hi there,

I really like my new Plethora, but I was wondering.
I created my first own Toneprint with the App for Phone for the compressor and assinged values to the knobs. Then I wanted to compare it to another Toneprint, so I changed it to an Artist Toneprint. It took the knob values I choose for my personal Toneprint. Turned the knobs to different values and was surprised that when I turned it back to my Toneprint, that it took the values from the knobs, so the values I choose for the Artist Toneprint.

Is it intentional that the Artist and my own Toneprints don't have set values for the "knob assingment", or do I just have a bug ? Cause it always transfers the knob vallues I choose from the last toneprint, or if I create a new board, it starts with 50, 50, 50.

    Best wishes, Konstantin

That's by defaut - the Plethora always reads pots position when you first load up a toneprint, then it "saves" the pots value as you tweak any given effect within a given slot. Hence why it read whatever positions the pots were in when you loaded your toneprint, then kept the tweaked values when you changed back and forth.

Two ways of getting around this:

      1 - test the toneprints in different slots, i.e. load up your in slot 1, the artist on slot 2, tweak both to taste, then turn them on / off to compare. That way the Plethora should remember your pot values without need to retweak them;

2 - if you're certain that you want your pots to remain fixed in your toneprint, and will never have to move them without access to the app, set all of the assignments to a flat curve (6:35 in this video if you don't already know how to do it). That way it doesn't matter where the pots are, your toneprint will always load ready to go.

hello, I am using two DItto x4 (and a JAM) with a Line 6 Helix cpntrolling both Ditto x4 over MIDI. It all works nicely except that I would like to be able to control each Ditto x4 seperatly. Currently, the MIDI channel is preset to n°4; any chance of seeing a new firmware allowing each unit tp have a seperate MIDI channel, so I may control them individually?

Any ideas for a simple workaround? I am trying to avoid adding a MIDI interface to create a separate channel to each unit

it is a fixed Midi channel and i doubt that there are recources to change this  in a future  firmware update.

    hi,

I notice an increase of volume when the pedal is ON, when plugged in my Mesa MKIV fx loop. The Fx level of the Flashback Mini has not impact. When the pedal is OFF, the volume returns to normal.
The MKIV has no setting for the FX Loop, and there's no other pedal in the loop.
The volume of the guitar stays the same whatever the pedal status when the pedal is on the GTR>>pedal>>amp chain.

Am I alone with this problem ?

    Thanks,
    Phil

      Hi Phil,

Are you using a Flashback Mini I or II? Is it the only pedal in the loop? And does this happen with any other pedal or just the FB Mini? Finally, do you have a buffer or any buffered bypass pedal (any Boss pedal should do) you could stick in the loop before the FB Mini? Leave it off, just powered and in the chain.

I'm guessing your effects loop is reacting differently between having a direct signal path (bypassed pedal in true bypass) or a buffered signal (effect on), so if you could give us a bit more insight into the problem that might help.

      Thanks for your reply.
The Flashback Mini 1 is the only one pedal in the FX loop of the amp.
I own only a old Tube King, that's all I don't use it in the FX loop ...

lol  I wouldn't expect you to

I was just suggesting placing it there to test my buffer theory. AFAIK the Tube King has buffered bypass, so if you place it in the loop (before the FB Mini) and don't turn it on - because that might sound like crap , its buffer will still be in the circuit. If my theory is correct, with the bypassed Tube King in the loop, you won't notice any volume drop / boost while toggling the Flashback Mini on and off.

If this holds true, there's nothing wrong with the FB Mini, it's just the nature of that specific effects loop. To fix that, you can either get a good buffer (TC Bona Fide, as an example), or replace your FB Mini with any other FB that will allow you to switch to buffered bypass.

I just do the test : no sound at all with the Tube King before the FB in the Mesa loop...

Anyway, I do the test with the Polytune, as you describe, and surprise, no volume change when switching the FB.
So, you were right, that's a buffer thing, I need to buy another pedal,

      Thanks

    Myriad Mounting Options

CLARITY M includes an integrated stand, making it perfect for any desktop. A pair of mounting holes provides compatibility with RAM-Mounts, allowing convenient attachment to a wall or ceiling. Other options include a suction cup for mounting on hard surfaces and a tough-claw mount for mic stand applications, all of which are available separately.

    hi friends,

is there any news about syncing the PC app with my phone ? My user tab on the phone stays desperately empty, but I have few saved presets in this tab on the PC app. Perhaps there's something I overlooked or didn't understand ?
It's somewhat useless if we can't load personal presets with the Beam function, the pedal is not plugged all the time to a PC, and in live situation, I want to load the presets I set up at home for my setlist... !

    thanks for any info

      Hi Phil,

corss-platform compatibility of user toneprints will first be possible, once an account based approach is implemented, which is on the roadmap.

      Best regards,

Hi there   Obviously I don't know what you're doing. What I do is hook the machine up to my computer via the usb cable. It appears on the desktop as a hard drive. Download the new firmware. Copy it to the plethora hard drive. Power cycle the plethora and it just does it on reboot. That works every time for me.

      Hi Jppmf,

Please provide more info onhow you update your unit and and what's not working??

Are you updating on Mac or PC?

Can you confirm that you place the unzipped firmware .bin file into your PLETHORA folder (shown when Plethora is connected via USB and showds up ads a disk drive)?

      cheers,

Is it possibel to change the 440 Hz to 442 Hz?Often necessary with brass.

No, the basic tuner doesn't allow to change the rreference pitch and uses 440Hz as default.

In order for the tuner not  take up an FX slot we opted for a very basic DSP efficient version, so it would not affect certain Pedal combinations from running .

      best,
