Curious to know how close you might be able to get to a tremolo sound with a FlashbackX4? Suggestions?

    Thanks!

Not really. you can though  try to use the Through Zero Flanger of the Modulation block as it will cacnel the signal at zero-crossing(like a real Tape reel Flanger would) and though gives a tremolo kind of modulation that can be used on the delay repeats. Setting the delaytime and feedback to minimum values and can help you to get a modulation only effect without the audible repeats of the delay.  You can use eg the ChorusOnly template as a starting point and then change effect type to TZ flanger and experiment with the settings.

This  programming method is also used for the Hall of Fame 2 "TreMVerb" templates but works also better on a constant reverb tail that is modulated over time than on the wet delay repeats..

      Cheers,

      Mike

Been playing with my new Plethora and I love it. Does anyone know if TC is planning on releasing a firmware update that will allow you to manually set the BPM per effect? I would love to be able to rotate a dial and have my delay set at exactly 110 BPM as opposed to having to try and tap it in and just hoping to get close.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I used the Quintessence with a synthesizer (Behringer Model D) and noticed something like a clipping noise mostly every time I triggered a note (it's mostly noticeable with lower notes) but in bypass the sound comes through clear. No amp was used, the output went directly in a mixing console or Multitracker.

I ordered a second device because I thought it could propably be a defective device but on the new one the same occured.

I updated the firmware, tried it with lower volumes on the synth, used both outs (high / low) but nothing. I truly like the sound but that clipping noise makes it completely useless for me.

Can someone confirm the clipping noise? Is this a known issue or is it because of the way of functioning?

btw...I also have a Brainwaves and it works flawless without such an issue

    thanks

The Toneprint pedals input stage are desigmed to work with instrument levels and not with hot line levels your synth outputs. Our converters are very robust, but of course you can clip them with a full blown line signal like a eg 3 osc Lead sound from the D with heavy modulation and twangy filter envelope modulation (which is roughly 20 dB higher than your averag guitar instrument level)

You have to either reduce the output of your Model D to avoid clipping or use a Re DI box to attenuate the  line output level of the Model D down to instrument level

      best regards,

    Is it the 32bit/64bit hoohaa?

about to try it with windows 10 installation and macosx sierra in virtual box... just to re-route the outputs... I get input signal atm. But no phones, mains, or channel outs.

    Love yous,

I just got a Flashback Triple play. I was wondering if there is a recommended external switch or other method of turning all three delays on and off simultaneously with one button. Any suggestions?

I was working on an arrangment with:

    slot 1 pitch shifter

    slot 2 shaker vibrato

    slot 4 FB2 delay

    slot 5 HOF2

In slot 3 I cannot have mmiqdoubler or quintessence harmony or sub'n'up of pitch shifter or another HoF.

is it a limitation in DSP power or what?

    thanks

Yup, some effects are a lot more DSP hungry than others, and that pitch shifter is the king of glutony...

Just digging in to the HOF 2 and the TonePrint Editor for Mac. A couple questions, and thanks in advance for your time...

    1. Do each of the permanent reverb types on the pedal (and mentioned in the editor) contain a separate, distinct reverb/algorithm from each other (spring, plate, hall, etc etc.) or are all the reverbs derived from one base reverb sound/algorithm?

    2. Do you have to go to the default templates (for instance: "HALL The default HALL setting for HOF 2  Reverb") in order to edit a "hall" algorithm, or, and this I guess is question...

    3. Is there a way to have the editor set at a base, empty or a "from scratch" setting, where you select which type of reverb, and build from there? (also wondering if this is a point of departure for the programmers or artists who make the available Tone Prints)

    4. Is there a way, in the editor, to see which of your custom created Tone Prints, by name, you have placed in slots 1,2 and 3 on the pedal, before changing or loading a new one into that slot from inside the editor? (sinilar to seeing a synth patch in a synth editing software)

    5. When you "save" a tone print, where is it saved, and, is it automatically saved into the slot 1,2 or 3 that you have the device set to? Is it saved in the Tone Print software on your computer, in a special folder, as well as on the device? Can you decide if you want to just save an editied patch (with a new name) in the software / computer for later use, but not load it into a slot on the pedal at the same time?

Thanks one and all for your help, and, apologies if these questions are covered elsewhere or too basic for advanced users!

    m.
