    Hello!

I just purchased a Turbosound iP300 and had a question that is not addressed in the Quick Start Guide. I'll be using this speaker with my Laptop, Audio Modeling SWAM Wind Instrument software, EWI5000 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interfacel. I need to use both Left & Right output signals from the Focusrite. Is it OK to use both Inputs of the iP300 for this?

    Thank you,

    Doug

      Hi Doug ( @dhsherbert ),

Sorry no one replied to you earlier.  I just stumbled upon this when I was looking at your reverb question.  Yes, there's no issue with connecting to both inputs on the IP300 at the same time, whether it be from the same interface of different interfaces.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

We have an upcoming conference with 60 participants in an overall space of 105' W X 18' D X 10' H.  Orientation may switch with screen and speaker along short wall.  Spoken word only.

I wanted to find out if this system might suffice for this volume of space?

      Hi Pavneet ( @usonianhorizon ),

Welcome to the community.  It should work just fine although you'll want to consider proper speaker placement. Those room dimensions are almost a hallway so I definitely would present from the short wall.  Assuming the audience will be sitting in chairs, you'll need about 10 rows of 6 chairs each which puts the back row at least 30 ft from the front row. No problem for a 500W PA.

I'd recommend you get a pair of speaker stands and also consider the ULM wireless mics if the presenter isn't standing at a podium. Most presenters, particularly those with less experience, prefer the wireless freedom. However, you need to make sure to place the speakers far enough forward so the presenter (and mic) never get in front of the speakers.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

Thanks for your detailed reply, @KenMitchell .

Yes, we would like to use ULM mics, but haven't found an update to the dongle weakness problem posted on this video (suggested on the Behringer product page):

Behringer ULM Ultralink Mic problems at Northern Beaches PA Hire

Plus, I am not clear on the difference between the 200 and 300 series mics.

      Regards.

RichardYClark Basically the 200 series use the USB dongle as the receiver. And yes it does stick out if connected straight into a USB socket on the back panel of a Behringer powered speaker. Answer. Use a short USB extension lead so that it can be kept flat to the back panel with Velcro or similar. The 300 series comes with a proper receiver rack with analogue audio out like any other traditional wireless mic.

RichardYClark To put your mind at rest I only thought of it as I answered your post. I have been using it sticking out and liable to damage. Doh!

    Bonjour,

    Merci beaucoup

I own 2 15 inch siena tsp152-ans.  I was going to buy a pair of 12 in loudspeakers but before i do i was wondering the differences between the siena, nuQ, and athens product lines.  The athens have different dispersion options but other than that i am unsure what their main selling points are.  If i go by frequency response and max spl then the sienas are the best bet.  The other two lines are more expensive and i wonder why that is?  Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

@Dae_dalus82 I cant speak to all the exact differences but when I looked (at turbosound in general) a while back, some models that had the ultranet port, did not include an ethercon port with it. I know the enclosre on some models differed in materials used and would suspect the speakers and perhaps the on board amps are different in some key ways.

Hi Kevin, welcome to the community.

We may be able to help if you tell us about the rest of your sound system and how you want to use it. Are you feeding the B15Xs from a mixer?

The DSP in the B15X includes LF and HF limiters to protect the drivers from overload. This doesn't mean that it isn't necessary to adjust signal levels in the sound system but it makes it less likely that excessive levels would cause damage.

One important point is that the B15Xs (and any other active speakers or amplifiers) should be powered-on last - after every other part of the system is on and stable.  They should also be powered-off first when shutting down.

I'm using a yamaha 12 channel mixer and sometimes I use bluetooth to run my music through them. On the speaker there is a bar graph type thing that shows input. Just not sure where it should be exactly. And the speakers came with know information at all.

You can download the user guide here. It gives some instructions for setting the built-in mixer's input and output levels. The most important level display is the output (right) one - it should not reach the top (clipping).

Hi I am helping a customer but not sure the proper mounts to use for the IP300 to hang them or suspend them from wall.  What is best practice for doing this?

I have 2 IQ15's that are less than a year old and really haven't had much use.

At Saturday's show one of them after being powered on for about 3 minute and without any load shows "over temp" on the display and stops audio output.

Contacted the point of sale and it's a 4-6 week turnaround for repair, which is very disappointing indeed.

    Anyone else had this issue?
