    Hi Everybody!

My client is asking me if they have VLS 15 x 8pcs, VLS 30 x 16, VSX 118B x 4, and DM 8000 as DSP controller, which is the amplifier can drive those speakers perfectly? And interface of the controller if there is a distance 30m to speakers?

I am new comer and not familiar with combination between Tannoy speakers & amp as well as interface please support.

    Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I just bought a pair of IQ15 and a IQ18B, anyone knows how can I do a Factory reset on the settings and parameters? Would it do it automatically if I just run the firmware update? Also it is the older version of both, they still have the 1.7 firmware, any problem when updating to 2.2? Greetings

Hello, they should update just fine to the latest firmware. I don't recall a factory reset option but the parameters are straightforward enough to easily set such that the DSP is bypassed and eq is flat etc etc. I also think it more or less resets when you update it.

      Hi @netoalas

Power up the unit whilst holding down the PROCESS button to enter the self test.

Press the buttons in sequence to run through the self test. The buttons on the LCD will fill as buttons are pressed, once complete the unit will be reset to factory settings.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your help. I tried this and it did make a sort of test but it didn't reset the settings. I just updated the firmware and gave a reset to everything by selecting the loaded parameters the speakers have. It worked like a charm, everything is sounding tight.  I am loving the crisp high and mids I am getting, and the sub is not as chest pumping as I expected but I am loving the sound and depth it produces.

Hi @AlexLane @GaryHiggins, I have a different question. Would you consider the SETUP that it brings INIT_DATA the best standard setup for the speakers? What would you consider the BEST standard parameters for the IQ 15 and the IQ 18B?

greetings and thanks for your awesome help

      Hi @netoalas

In the Xover settings menu, on the iQ15 select the iQ18B setting

SImilarly, on the iQ18B, in the Xover menu, select the iQ15 setting

That will match the two up perfectly, with no need for extra settings

I still have my old Tannoy SRM-12B and they still sound better than most anything on the market. I have one speaker making a rubbing sound audible only at low level listening. I am wondering if there are still replacement parts for these speakers.

      Hi @JeffSterling ,

      Hope all is well.

In this case we would recommend getting in touch with Lockwood Audio.

I have  blown crossover.  I thought I blew the horn, but after replacing it, the scratchy sound cutting in and out is still there.  Can someone direct me where I can replace this part?  I can seem to find options for it.

I recently purchsed used 800a monitors (with matching sub) and they had some of the best imaging ever heard, but they did not last long. The Right speaker was dead in the water, when I opened it up, the LM317/LM337 transisters looked fried, so I replaced them. In the process the board started to delaminate in around the holes. I just used jumber wires to what I thought were obvious places, but now I have sound but its only static.

I would like to replace the amp with original on the one monitor or use a similar active amp to replace both speakers. I assume I would just have to match the crossover network before it splits to the amps. I really want to use these monitors again because I just got them last month. Can some please guide me a bit?

    Hi,

I have had my 2 EuroLive B115D speakers for a few years. i love them. just the other day i went to turn one on and the top speaker part (called 1.35" compression transducer in the manual/brochure) is not producing any sound only the bottom half of the speaker. it sounds like as if there if a cloth muffling the top speaker part. Does any one know if i can fix this at home somehow or not where i could buy a part to fix it? Thanks.
