      Hi Jon,

Visous Vibe and Helix Phaser are confirmed for the 1.2 update.

Spark Booster will be difficult as it is an analog pedal and we have no model of it. A clean Boost has been requested quite a lot, so i'll add your vote to it for the 1.3 update.

P.s. Pipeline has the ability to boost the output level by up to 9 dB and by assigning it to MASH or Expression pedal you can emulate a fine clean boost.. Modulation depth of the tremolo has be at zero % obviously, but if you wan tto use the trem on top, you can program MASH to turn depth to zero whil boosting the level ! ..

      Cheers,

      Mike

nice one. love this pedal. its a great idea. sounds good too. so when is 1,2. and i reckon an EQ boost toneprint would be super useful.

    Hello,

I just bought a "Plethora X5"  and want to connect this with the 4 cable method.

I have a Mesa Boogie Mark 5 35,  a Victory V4 Preamp pedal ‘The Kraken’ and a few pedals.

I like to have the Chorus, Delay and Reverb from the Plethora in the loop of the amp.

When I engage “The Kraken” on Gain 1 or Gain 2 …. and I switch the channels on my Mesa Boogie I have a huge change in sound …. The master, gain, Presence and EQ on the Mesa Boogie change the sound when “The Kraken” is engaged.

The intention is when the "The Kraken" Preamp pedal is engaged the pedal bypas he preamp of the Mesa Boogie.

Is it possible to check my connection and tell me how I must connect everything.

    See image for my connection.

Looking through the Kraken manual, this looks correct. The Kraken will bypass the Mesa preamp and the Plethora effects can be before or after the Kraken in either mode.

The Mesa controls interfere with the sound of the 2 extra channels of the "Kraken".
When the "Kraken" is engaged the pre-amp of the Mesa must be diconnected.

Victory Amps recommends connecting everything in this way

How can i use effects from the Plethora in front and in the loop of the 2 amps (Pre-amp and amp) ?

Using the Victory suggested method, you can only put the Plethora effects in the amp's loop after the preamps. Your first solution allows you to put the Plethora effects in front or in the loop.

It makes sense that the master, presence and EQ are still in play with the Kraken engaged as they are likely part of the power amp section. Gain should be preamp, but it would depend on the circuit itself.

If you plug your guitar directly into the FX return do those controls still affect the sound? If so, it's working as intended.

    Hello everyone!

I am new here and I hope somebody can help me. It is maybe a silly question: I am having the chance to purchase a G-System, which I always wanted to have, but: is it possible to connect the G-System directly to the Audio-Interface (in my case a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14) so it goes directly to Logic Pro X, using NO amps/cabs at all? Wouldn't that give me a very clean sound? Since the birth of my daughter it is nearly impossible to play with my amps at home... So, it would be more for "silent-home-recordings", if you understand. Would it work, if I connect from the SW-outputs or from the OUT L/R directly to the Saffire, instead of an amp? Thanks for any suggestions!

Yes, you can. See i/o specs here:

      https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories/Tcelectronic/Guitar/Effects-Processors/G-SYSTEM/p/P0CKX/Specifications#googtrans(en|en)

I used to use G-system's S/PDIF out to record into a TC Konnekt 24 .

For a home studio based setup, you probably want to add a cab/amp sim pedal fro a more realistic tone.

      Cheers,
      Mike

Hello TC-Mike and thank you very much for your quick answer trying to help me!

So you say it IS possible! That sounds great! Let me see if I understand it correctly:

Would this be the correct way then? > Guitar/Bass to G-System - from G-System I go out from OUT L/R (or SW L/R - or only from S/PDIF???) to my Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 Audio Interface (with 2 inputs), press record and play with G-System-sounds!

And, as you've said, for "better sound" I can add a cab/amp-sim-pedal (I have the RogerLinn Adrenalinn III) between G-System and Audio Interface.

Is that correct? If that would work so easy, then I can't wait to try this out!!!

      Thanks again!!!

    Hi There,

Has anybody tried to do a whammy with an expression pedal on the plethora ?

I use the brainwaves with the whammy preset.

It works with the mash function, but not with the pedal.

Sometimes, after playing with pots, I manage to have something like a Whammy.

So I save a new preset and store it to the plethora.

Then I go back on the plethora and it doesn't work anymore. Glups....

    Any Ideas ?

A User Manual should be welcomed

      Hi ,

if you want to control pitch change with the expression pedal instead of MASH, you just remap any brainwaves template in the Toneprint app and store your user toneprint to pedal . If you switch board without having stored your edited toneporint to either app or Plethora, your edit will be gone.

Use the WHAM template from the app as a starting point . It  has Ptich shift already mapped out to expression pedal:

Many many thanx Mike, I didn't expect an answer so quickly !

It works perfectly now. I just didn't used the wham settings. No comment...

The PX5 editor needs a bit of practice (for me).

      Thanx again.

      You are welcome....

Try program MASH to do something else eg like in the Space Force template where you can freeze the delayline buffer while holding down MASH.

Please make sure you have latest 1.1 firmware for Plethora as this fixes an issue with brainwaves wet signal level...

P.s. What would be your top 3 feature requests for the 1.3 firmware update of Plethorax5??

HI, you can set the pedal to "Kill dry" via TP app or use the MASH switch to dynamically mute the the dry signal... Pretty sure the default RVS 8. and RVS 4 + 8. template have it as default MASH mapping.......

      reverse kill dry.PNG

If you just want reverse only at all times , just set Kill-dry to "on"

      cheers,

    Hi folks

I'm having an issue resetting my Sub N Up Mini after trying a few Toneprint patches.

I've attempted the Poly Default template as suggested in other conversations on the topic with no success.

Do I have a faulty pedal here or is there another fix for it?

Thanks in advance for any advice

      Hi Power age,

when you say the pedal is resetting, do you mean it reboots randomly during use or that a Toneprint setting you stored to the pedal via app is reset to default pedal TP setting  after you power cycle it?

Which Firmware version do you have installed on your Sub'n up mini? ( can be seen in Toneprint app SETTINGS tab when pedal is connected to app via USB)

      best regards,

      Mike

      Hi Mike

      Thanks for the reply.

After trying several Toneprint options I wanted to restore the original default setting (or sound) that the pedal came with.

Using the app via bluetooth and choosing the default template didn't work nor has trying it via USB.

According to the app the pedal has the latest firmware installed. Also, just now when I tried it again, no effect at all is produced when using the pedal. No octave up/down or anything else.

Is there something I've missed or is my pedal perhaps faulty?

      Appreciate your help.

Hi, I am very tented to get the new Plethora x5 but i've some questions to ask before:

    1) Is it possible to reverse the order of the effects chain, as if it were a real pedalboard? (from right to left)

    2) Is it possible to control the parameters that do not appear on the display in edit mode, without using the toneprint app? (e.g. deep 2/3  in Corona Chorus, or feedback 2 / delay 2 in Flashback) Cattura.JPG

    3) Is it possible to assign functions to the knobs in play mode? (for example the volume of the effect? it would free a knob in the edit mode)

Unfortunately, from the videos I'm documenting myself on, it doesn't seem possible to do these things, but it would be a welcome improvement.

Thank you so much for your attention, you are making fantastic products.

      1) No, requested feature

      2) No, some are migrated to tone print choice (delay subdivision, for example)

      3) No, requested feature.

OK, since I feel it is time-consuming to go through all the different posts to get an overview of all the existing feature requests for the PX5, I decided to create a comprehensive list here.

So, what I did is go through all the PX5 feature request posts that currently exist (at least all I noticed) and put all those requests in here. Where there were multiple requests, I added votes to the existing ones (1 vote = original request, 2 votes = original request + one endorser).

If you have additional requests you can't find in this list, just add one in a comment below and I will try to keep track and manage the list in the original post. Same goes if you want to endorse an existing feature, just add a +1 comment. This would give everybody a better overview of where the community priorities are.

Good idea - is officially recognised?

      Vote +1 for:

      - Midi clock (note: selectable at pedal level)

      - anything Midi CC really needs ability to set midi Rx channel implementation first (though this is apparently on the way)

      Hello,

Based on my first usage I would have the main following requests:

      • Possibility to use a pedal without assigning a slot. Mainly for the noise gate which is always engaged for me.

      • keep artist tuning when selecting toneprint (not with the current knob position)

      • Add Looper

      • Add Helix Phaser

      • Add EQ Pedal

      • add a Wahwah pedal (with expression)

      • Possibility to delete factory boards

By the way I love the Plethora !!!

      Thanks you

      Hi,

      super list!

it would also be nice to be able to save the boards on your PC, a back-up...

and to have the option to chose for each slot parallel or serie.so we can decide if we want an effect to influence the next or not ...you could have slot 1&2 with the loop with distortion and 3.4&5 with a delay with a clean tone...

      Thanks

Hi, great idea! First of all, I really love my Plethora, a great and very intuitive platform. Here is my wishlist ?

      - Helix Phaser and Viscous Vibe are number one on the list

      - Use of the 3 knobs in play mode for on the fly adjustments

      - Add the T2 and the Dreamscape which are part of the TonePrint familly

      - Add the possibility to use the "4th knob" without using toneprint app (tone on the Corona or Sub2 on the Sub n' up)

      - Add digital Drive, Disto and Fuzz for light travellers (like the cab sim) and just in case

      - Add the missing Toneprints : there are some toneprints available for individual stomps that are not for Plethora

      Stay healthy,

      Ben
