Hi guys, how do I register my x-touch? I can’t find my way out on the website.

Hi All, I've been a Behringer fan and user for years and stepped up to buying the x-Touch. Cubase Pro 10 recognizes the x-Touch in all three aspects of Studio setup (see images) but nothing works - actions in cubase don't register in x-touch, and moving sliders in x-touch have no effect in Cubase:

    Thank you, b

Hi... I don't know if it will help you but I had to put my XTouch on Mackie Control (MC) setting... I found that HUI does not work...

You do this by holding the channel 1 select button down while you power on the device... then dial the first dial to MC... then dial the second dial to USB...

Then you press the select button again to reset the XTouch...

      Hope this helps...

      Hi,

beside Kingurus answer you also have to tell Cubase, that you're using a Mackie Control Unit. Do this in the studio setup (see your first screenshot). Add a new controller by pressing the little plus-symbol in the upper left corner of the window. Be aware that you add a Mackie control unit and that your device is turned on. On the  right side of this screen select x-touch as midi in and out device. Unselect x-touch as midi device on the other control devices (your 2nd and 3rd screenshot) or simply delete these controls as you don't need them really. Click apply, your x-touch should work now.

      Greetings

I bought the all access Slate plugins to hopefully use with my X32 compact for LIVE mixing.

Now I've been told I need a host software...DAW... to use the Slate plugins.

I was told by someone in a pro audio department to use Cubase.

But I don't want to spend any money on software until I can figure out what's going on.

    ??!! I need help !!??

The goto daw on the cheaper side is Reaper. You can evaluate it for some time and then pay a minor $60 for it.

You can also try Ardour which is completely free.

While not free, LiveProfessor is commonly used as a plugin host when a daw is an overkill.

    Hi,

My trusty BCR2000 refuses to work in Windows 10 64-bit. As soon as  I switch it on, I get a "device has malfunctioned" error message. I can't install the Behringer 64-bit driver because every time I try it gives me a timeout error.

I've tried swapping USB ports, buying a new USB cable, administrator mode, and all the Windows compatibility options with no success.

I'm all out of ideas and it's doubly frustrating because I keep hearing from people for whom the combination works fine. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I was wondering if the x-touch extender can be used with the x-touch 1? I was given the x-touch 1 as a gift and I want to add some faders. Thanks

    Hi

Today I've received my first x-touch mini (I'm using a x-touch and two x-touch extenders quite a while).
After some test I got it working with my software, but there are some points where I would need help:

    • The unit seems not to send any 'Button released' midi messages ( while the x-touch does).
    • Is there a possibility to disable the button -> button LED link inside the x-touch mini? I'm controlling some switches in my software by the x-touch. The app sets the button LEDs according to the current state. When I set the options in the app directly, then the LED buttons reflect the state correctly. When I use the buttons, this does not work correctly, because the LED reacts to the release of the button..

    Regards

    Tomy

      Hi Tomy ( @TomyNeumann ),

Welcome to the community.  What DAW are you using?  Does it have a driver for the mini? Do you have the mini set to MIDI or MC mode?  In MIDI mode, the button behavior is based on the mode set for the individual buttons, whether it be momemtary or toggle.  In both cases, a value of 127 is sent for a press or latch and a 0 is sent for a release or unlatch.  Also, in MIDI mode, the LED state needs to be set/unset with MIDI messages coming from the DAW.  In MC mode, the button behavior and LED state is dictated by the MCU driver in the DAW.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

      Hi Ken

Thanks for your reply. I'm using my own app, which creates and handles MIDI. The x-touch mini runs in MIDI mode.
Your statement is okay for the x-touch extender (and the x-touch full, I assume), but not for the x-touch mini.
But the x-touch mini behaves different. Even with no midi handling device running, the state of the LEDs changes according to the state of the button.
Furthermore the button does not send a NoteOn MIDI Message when the button is released.

      Well,

The button release does not send Note On with velocity 0 but will send Note Off with velocity 0 (opposite to x-touch extender, where it will send Note On with velocity 0 when released).

    Hi to everyone.

Before one week I'm an owner and big fan of a Behringer X-Touch.

I'm working with Logic Pro X and everything is more than perfect ... exept the issue that I have in the video.

Every time I touch (just touch, not moving) the fader, it steps down the volume by -0,1dB.

    Does anyone know why?

    The firmware is 1.15

Thank you in advance for your support.

It's funny that my problem, since updating the firmware is that my jog wheel is activated when I increase or decrease the volume slidder... this does not occur when I change the volume from the volume mixer inside the DAW, only when I change the volume on the hardware mixer itself...

    Hi,

Can I use the X touch to control pre amps on the x32?
