A ( 3 ) x 3340 VCO, ( 3 ) x LFO version of the "Crave"? CAST your VOTE in my "Crave 3" Synth Poll!  How about a full-featured workstation keyboard small enough to carry in a gig-bag and play anywhere? Or how about a "live performance" synth that allows you to tweak 27-synth parameters simultaneously from one hand as your other plays the keyboard? These are just a few of my crazy synth design ideas. Would you like to see Behringer produce any of these? Take a look:  Tomm's Crazy Synth Designs

      Hi Tommy,

      thanks for your input.

is your Crave 3 idea meant to be a monosynth too?

What filter should it have ? the same as the Crave ( Moog ladder) or a different one eg the multimode filter from the Neutron?

i think i'd keep the sequencer rather if it is meant to be a 3 osc mono

From your other design drafts i like the idea of a sample based portable "workstation" kind of keyboard- an updated Rompler design loaded with high quality bread and butter sounds , enough voices and maybe an analog filter to round it all off

      best regards,

      Mike

Just got the Pro-1 and it sounds amazing. I would like to sync its internal sequencer with some MIDI gear, and it does respond to clock, which is great, but it doesn't seem to respond to stop/start, which makes it nearly useless, because there's no way to get the sequence to line up perfectly with another device. If I hit play on my Electribe, it triggers my other pattern based gear to start playing, but the Pro-1 is free-running, so the beats don't line up perfectly. I have to flip the sequencer on/off switch on the Pro-1 and even then it's nearly impossible to get it bang on the money. Am I missing something?

From what i see after a few hours, you can sync the internal arp only using an external CV signal clock

    Hi all,

found a great design draft by Bjørn Lohmander in the synthesizer freaks FB group for a possible Behring produced Korg Polysix tribute in a desktop design formfactor.  What do you guys think?

    polysix3.jpg

quality of the rendering is fantastic and i really like the design and formfactor....

Just to be clear this is NOT a confirmed Behringer product and at this point just a great design draft from a fellow synthusiast .

    Cheers,

    Mike

      Hi @calli ,

I understand your frustrations. I have checked and Created a Support ticket and was able to do so.

I have also informed the right people to look into the issue. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

      Thank you,

Start by adding the Crave into the systems to choose from.

At least here in Germany I bought a Behringer Crave and expect then Support under that name.

My DeepMind12 started to randomly freeze up.

I have updated to the latest firmware 1.1.2, recalibrated even increased the default fan speed to rule out overheating.

Nothing has helped. The store reverted me to this site to make an RMA request. But I can’t find how to submit an RMA request to send in the instrument to be serviced. I have the receipt.

    Hello everyone,

Just got an Odyssey and plugged it in and it is making a constant pulsing noise which seems to be the LFO (Noise will speed up and down if I turn up the LFO freq)

Obviously this renders the synth unplayable, Have I got a faulty device?

Thanks for any help, I'm pretty gutted here

Sounds like the classic Ody problem: VCA Gain lever fully on? Turn it down, does the sound stop?

Yes the VCA gain makes it stop but then the other osc are turned down also?

Do I need to send the unit back? Thanks for respoding to me

    Hello all,

I'm relatively new to synths, and I'm trying to learn from a very basic intro level. Been happily lost for hours this past week since the Odyssey arrived.

I'm not sure if I've experienced an issue with the Odyssey or my lack of knowledge. When I switch the Audio to LF Keyboard Off, I get pulsed clicks and find it difficult to generate a tone. From the manual, 'adust using the VCO-1 frequency faders'. I just can't seem to get rid of the clicks even if I manage, with luck, to generate a tone.

Is this just part of what's to be found at these frequencies, and something to play around with?

Very grateful for any info or knowledge shared, as basic as you like. Thanks, Gerrard

      Starsky

When VCO 1 is in LF mode (low frequency) it's acting like an LFO, so it will only produce very slow clicking - it's not meant to be heard in isolation but used as a modulation source.

If you're really new to the synth this might prove useful.  It's a walkthrough of the Odyssey for beginners I made a couple of months ago.  I can't ost the lionk but if you google starsky carr ARP ODYSSEY:Tutorial and Demo you should be able to find it.

      Hope that helps

    Hello all,

I looked around on the internet and on Behringer's site (updates, Manual etc) but can't really find any MIDI CC implementation chart. I wanted to try to get Bitwig (with all of its wonderful modulation tricks) to control the Neutron in whatever way it can. Thanks for any help and I am sorry if there is a chart and I have completely missed it!

The only Midi CC is to set the assignable output to Modulation wheel which is Midi CC 01

but you can use anything that puts out CC01 not just the mod wheel

Alternatively something along the lines of  the Analogue Systems RS-140 MIDI/CV Converter may be ideal for your needs.

I have juste received the pro 1 but I still can't get any sound out of it.

I already own a neutron so both are side by side and their midi settings are the same (channel 16)

I use an arturia keystep as master keyboard.

neutron is working nicely but when I'm plugging the audio out of the pro 1 instead of the neutron I don't get anything. I don't even know if the the pro 1 is getting my midi as there is no led for that purpose like on the neutron.

Is there something I missed ?

Also it seems there is no updater tool for the pro one on the support downloading page.

    Thank you for any hint.

There is a Gate Led that flashes when it is recieving notes. If you use midi, make shure the repeat/ext knob is in the "normal" position.

If you flip the drone switch to "drone" position (up), the synth will continuously make noise, regardless of whether it's getting any note triggers over MIDI. Good for testing. Make sure the osc levels are up, filter is open.
