New Macbook Pro, downloaded X32-Edit to control X32 console.

App will not open message says "X32-Edit cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. The software needs to be updated"

Anybody else seen this issue, more importantly, what suggestions to resolve?

    Thanks

      Hi Tim ( @SegdirbMit ),

Welcome to the community.  You might as well get used to seeing that message with Catalina.  Packaging signing is even tighter in 10.15 than prior OSes.   To get around this you need to open Applications in Finder, right-click on the X32-Edit app, and select open. Agree to open it even though it can't be verified.  You only need to do this once per app.  Unfortunately, the packaging format Behringer would need to use to fix this isn't compatible with OS versions below 10.15 so it's not likely they'll want to release a Catalina only package.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

      Ken,

So, X32-Edit opens up fine but I cannot get my Mac to connect (ethernet cable direct)

I wonder if you could help with this?

In system preferences I selected 'Ethernet' and 'manually' in Configure IPv4 drop down menu

In the setup menu on the X32 the network IP shows as 169.254.49.45, Subnet as 255.255.0.0 and Gateway as 0.0.0.0

I set the IP address on the Mac to 192.168.0.20 and Subnet to 255.255.0.0, Gatreway is 0.0.0.0

I open X-32 Edit and go to setup

Which IP address do I enter or do I just rescan?

it seems that whatever I enter nothing connects

Could you give me an 'idiots guide to connecting'? (I'm the idiot in case you wondered

      Many thanks in advance

      @SegdirbMit

Since you are making the Mac ip static, turn off dhcp on the x32 and set the ip to be in the same range as your Mac but not the same #'s (say 192,168.0.22), subnet should be the same. I might try changing the subnet on both to 255.255.255.0. I never had much luck with 255.255.0.0.  My 2 pennies.

@KenMitchell sorry didn't see your post

Hello all, long time x32 user. I have been reading these forums for a few months, and still am not completetly convinced on the Wing.  I have the budget to go up to something like a Digico S21, or the A&H Avantis.
I have seen a few wings come up on eBay used in the 2500 range now, lots of the descriptions typically says "Opened up for a customer, not used". When prices get cut that like, typically it does not pass my sniff test of a solid product.

Are there a group of people who are walking away from the console due to quality reasons?

For our purpose of expanding our churchs' team outside of a console that we have outgrown on IO, bus mix count, and FX lanes, has anyone put in serious thought of reasons why they might go to something a little more expensive, with more features?

S21 has 96K plus MultiBandCompressors onboard, missing an IEM app

Avantis has 96K plus DEEP dynamics processing onboard, yet I need to buy a dante or waves card to record multitrack, IEM app is IPAD only

Wing can include a desser instead of a gate on each input, missing oboard MultiBand Compressor, Waves or Dante Option.

These are all different mixers, but I would like to hear what you all have considered in a desk and why you went with the Wing.

That price is pretty close to retail everywhere but the US. Tariffs seemed to have bumped the price here by nearly $800. I wonder if that's why they are selling cheaper?

@jlwall , I really enjoy working on the Wing and have not had any quality issues with it so far.  However with that said, I don't know if the Wing is the right choice right now.  In my opinion the console was released a bit early so some software / hardware features are still missing.  Like you said, the multi-band, Dante and Waves support is currently not available.  Additionally scene controls is non existent.

I see the promise of this console, however needs more software revisions and user feedback to get there.  Currently we use our Wing for non-critical events and use our M32's and X32's for most events.  As the software improves I suspect this will change and the Wing will get more time in the field.

I'm not a hater as I believe this console gives me far more flexibilty than our other consoles when it comes to routing audio, DSP utilization and fader assignments, however not having multi-band, no scene controls and lack of Waves is what is keeping this console benched.

I was in a similar spot before I bout my Wing.  Wing to me sits between the X32 and Avantis.  48Khz is as good as I need, but I've been mildly disappointed in a few things.

      1. 40, not really 48 channels.  The auxes are limited processing, but at least all channels are stereo.  Realistically this doesn't save me too much with many bands since tracks are usually mono split with click, I prefer to process overheads as mono channels and keyboards are the big stereo item I typically only get 3-4 of.

      2. Lack of dedicated mixbuses and returns for 8 premium FX slots.  I'm working around it, but it creates shortages in some areas like the auxes.  I like that there are at least 16 and they're stereo which is huge.  Since 99% of my events do monitors and FOH on the same console I would really wish for 20-24 stereo mix buses and 12 stereo auxes.

      3. Talkback eats a channel or Aux.

      4. Firmware is stable so far and works well enough coming in at 1.05 but as noted is not ready for prime-time in some cases.

      5. Midas monitor mixers aren't out yet.  These should alleviate some of my bus shortage issues.

All that said, the Wing was an easy sell for me since it does up my channel count and in most cases gets me the equivalent of a 42-44 channel board.  The 8 stereo matrixes are a nice upgrade over the X32, it does have plenty of Fx engines built-in, things I've enjoyed having on larger consoles like the CL5, it still leaves more rack processing available and it's compatible with my existing stage boxes and X32 gear.  That it does all that for about $3500US was even better.  I'd been looking at the Avantis or starting out with a surfaceless dLive for about 3 times the price once I added stageboxes and a Dante card to be able to record all my inputs.

Avantis is also potentially limited once you start configuring your input channels and mix buses.  You have 42 mixbuses, but configuring stereo mixes eats up 2 of those and you have to assign out mono mixbuses in pairs.  My Wing template would utilize 46 buses in the Avantis world between FX, monitors, subgroups, mains and matrixes.  The inputs and card slot options on the Avantis make it a step ahead of the Wing, but with a $9K starting point plus another $1400 for the DEEP channel processing and $4700 in stage boxes to replace the 48x24 I already have, it didn't make sense for me to wait.

It's a interesting call.....  I come from the pro world and have spent many hours on SSL's, Digico's, Yamaha's and Midas.  That said there are features on the "still not fully cooked" Wing that walk past some of the big consoles.

Coming back down to earth, had I worked with the S31/S21 Digico before ever working on any of the larger consoles SD5, SD12 I would never touch Digico again.  Don't get me wrong, the big Digico's are great, however I have been consulting with a church that has the D2 Rack and S31, from my point of view S31 just sucks from Routing to straight operation.  You will need a rack of some kind to fully get the functions you want to multi-channel.  Lacking in EFX and Dynamics which the ones that are there are really do not give me the results I would expect or need.

Allen & Heath avantis I have not had the pleasure to work with on shows or events, just experiment with outside of an event, however it appears to be a very capable board great features, easy to get around on.  It has limited EFX / Dynamics unless you purchase the additional options.  Still need a less expensive stage box than Digicos to get full functions.

The Wing, well I purchased one, at the price point had to do it!  So it is not fully baked yet, however based on my experiences with the X/M32 I have to say they will continue to update it's functions with firmware updates not as fast as well would like but that's the industry in general.  Behringer was questionble in my mind until several years ago they updated their warranty program.  Then even more recently as the Wing came to market the continue to update firmware and features on the X/M32 series of consoles, not scrapping it as is typical industry process. It is a 48 input console, mentioned previously as only 40, and he is correct as the last 8 channels are typically for Aux inputs however you could route typical inputs to them and not have full channel features, could be ok in some circumstances.  The FX / Dynamics capabilities are pretty amazing for this cost of a console, short of adding waves (when it becomes available) I can do a whole lot more than the above mentioned consoles. much more functional on the EQ as well as multiple compressor types without having to tie up a FX slot to do a different type of compression.

It takes awhile to get used to for sure, there are funny little things I find that make getting around easier that I first experienced.  It's not 96k and you do need a stage box to add additional inputs beyond the local 8 I/O. However running my DAW back into the ALT inputs gives me full function without a stage box needed.  It is compatible with both Behringer and Midas Stage boxes and with smart routing during a show you can have Snapshots that recall many different routing configs allowing for lots of input channels.  I wish it had Wave and Dante NOW, however it's coming and for me I can deal with the wait based on what I have seen them do in the past with the M/X32. Especially price point!

So end of day you have to ask is the loss of 96k huge, is the addition of efx packs from the othe manufactures as well as much more expensive stage boxes.  So for me at least and what I'm doing i could not justify the price between either of the other consoles with Stage boxes and additional EFX etc. packs Dante  and Wave cards when I have purchased a Wing and dual stage boxes for less than the base price of the other consoles. Question is there a serveral thousand dollar difference.  Only you can answer that, for me the more familiar I get with the wing I find myself more and more dienchanted with the S31.  96 vs 48 well again I don't see enough of a dollar difference vs quality.

My long thoughts and 2 cents!

      Hmm, sounds difficult.

The WING is, counting channels and busses, not that much larger than the X32/M32. The only big difference is, that all channels and busses are strict stereo, so if you want to run stereo inear monitoring you will have a big advantage with the WING. you will also have a lot of very good effects, but some are still missing (multiband compressors or dynamic EQs for instance).I can continue with a comparsion but to come to a conclusion, the WING is the future and I love the sound and the way how to get it. I also love the flexible layer layout customization. That was one I missed at most on the X32/M32 series. and I love (LOVE) the new VSS3 reverb.

I cannot say much about Digico, especially the "budget" models S21 and S31. I don't like the Digicos at all, every time I have to work with them I had some minor or major troubles, so I try to keep them in distance.

But I also own a SQ6 and a dLive from A&H.And both I like but with some restrictions. The SQ series is for me the real competitor to the WING. Similar channel counts and also similar bus counts (12 stereo plus 4 dedicated stereo FX busses vs. 16 versatile stereo mixbusses) but the WING has more matrices. They are sounding very good, for me a little bit more clear than the Behringer consoles, but if you want to have other FX than the stock one, you have to pay for these extension whilest the WING comes more or less full featured.

If you think about the Avantis you also should think about the dLive series. the dLive comes with no processing limitations (128 input channels and 64 busses on dLive, 64 input channels and 42 busses on avantis). If you want the full strength of the Avantis you will have to pay extra fee for the extension packs, but even then you won't have the same as with the dLive. And, this is very important, the price of my C2500 and CDM48 is not much higher than the price for the Avantis with the GX4816. So, for me the Avantis is no option and I think if you want to go the Avantis route just make that little step ahead and take the dLive.

Again the basic sound of the actual A&H consoles it very good and also the basic processing (EQ and so on) is very good sounding. But I am not that happy with some of their FXs. The reverbs are far behind the Behringer ones (all of them on X-Air, X32 or WING), stuff like transient designers are not what I am found on the X32/WING. I also desperatly missing any expanders on A&H consoles. I prefer expanders instead of gates for the most cases where you want to use gates, but on A&H consoles there are no expanders at all. There are also some strange limitations like you can't switch mono channels to stereo on the fly (you will have a more or less long audio dropout), on the SQ you cant't use the two USB slots at the same time  and so on.

Ok, what about other consoles? the good Yamaha (CL or QL) are for me too expensive for the features, Soundcraft is no subject to discuss at all at the moment, maybe the Presonus SL 64s but I don't know them and the older series do not help me to trust in their consoles at all.

So for me either the WING because it is promising and also have the best remote app (Mixing Station) if the channel and bus count is ok or the dLive because it has far mor channels and busses at a reasonable pricepoint.

I had a nightmare gig last night and can't see the forest for the trees. Am I bitten by the V4 preamp bug or just totally crazy?

We absolutely need one to one patching for this show and it's working really well (except for preamp control). The FOH guy obviously want preamp control, but it ain't working (and he won't do wireless). I can from the monitor console (physically and remotely) though.

S32[A]<->[B]X32 Rack[A]<->[B] X32 FOH.   HA Remote is not set on either console (but I tried all combinations anyway). FOH's remote page wouldn't control the S32's preamps or phantom power.

What is the correct way to control the preamps with the monitor console between? Or is it the bug?

@DaveMorrison In your interconnect scenario it should be that the Rack would have its HA Remote enabled selecting port A. That should give FOH control of all preamps and the Rack will not be able to control any, even its own local ones- via preamps page or not. (they will perhaps move but snap right back to where they were or move but have no effect) All the inputs at FOH routed as aes50B 1-48 should have a functioning gain control on the mixer surface or X32-Edit. Did the S32 have the latest firmware installed?

EDIT: I am wondering when you say "one to one" you mean the new user input menu? One would like to think that this menu when used still follows the same gain/trim knob behavior as the older groups of 8 routing used to. If not that would be a major bug...If I get a chance today I will test it here and see what happens to me. Also did the FOH console also have V4 installed?

EDIT 2: All the gains, trims behave as they should even with the user menu so that isn't a factor. At the moment I only have a mixer and 2 stageboxes attached, need to insert a mixer in between to see if the old HA Remote/Gain Split rules still apply there too. I would suspect they do.

      Hi @DaveMorrison

The HA remote was indeed the feature you were looking for, as it must be enabled to allow the FOH to control the Monitor desk's preamps. Only the preamps forwarded to the AES port are made available for remote control.

There is indeed a bug with the HA remote control on FW 4.00 :

When you forward local AND remote headamps, the second banks are not controllable.

For example in your setup, on the rack: Local Ins 1-16 to AES A out 1-16 + AES B In 1-16 to AES A out 17-32, the AES B preamps wont be available...
But if you're using User IN or OUT banks with the same preamps assigned, everything works fine.

This will be solved in the 4.01 version that should be released in a couple days

Thanks for reaching out, I hope this helped

Thanks guys. This would be the forwarding bug. Both consoles are 4.0. The X32 rack in addition to being the monitor mixer is also submixing my own instruments (only I set those gains).

Forwarding the S32 through the X rack is the problem. I can handle it (the FOH guy will have to deal with it).

Edit: The Behringer website is down for the moment. What is the latest S32 firmware?

You mentionned that you were using the "1 to 1 routing", but the issue we found wasn't happenning when User In or Out banks were being sent to the AES port, problem occured only with regular banks. So it might be that your setup should actually work...
Again, you need to activate HA remote on the AES port you will be controlled from (careful, this will overwrite your gains) in your case, on the Rack. Else you wont be able to set gains of the Monitor desk from FOH.

Latest version for S32 is 1.7

Please help me understand a bit about gain along the signal path in my setup:  M32 <- AES50A -> S32. I’m running 4.02 on the M32. Not sure about the S32 and don’t know how to find out.

So ... a signal from a mic arrives at the S32 on Ch 1. The signal clearly undergoes A/D conversion at that point so it can travel Cat5e cable and arrive at the M32.

On the M32 SETUP > PREAMPS screen there are controls for A/D Gain  initialized to -2.0.

Channel 1 on the M32 also has a gain knob.

Rotating the gain knob on the M32 does not affect the values on the SETUP > PREAMPS screen..

Question 1:  Is my assumption that there are two gain adjustments on this signal path before it enters the channel correct. One A/D in the S32 followed by one digital in the M32?

Question 2: If so, when and why would you use the A/D gain knobs for the S32 instead of just the gain on the M32?

Someone on FB and I have an error with the X-LIVE card after update of the console to V4.0.

My config is X32 Compact running on 4.0, X-LIVE Firmware A12. The error is as follows:

Start a recording (either 8, 16 or 32 tracks) on the X-Live to SD Card one (two not tested yet) - no matter if 44.1 or 48 kHz. Everything is fine while recording. Once you press stop the display shows that the file on the SD-Card is finalized - then the console freezes (nothing seems to function, LED freeze too, audio still throughput), after some 30 to 60 seconds the console reboots by itself. After that function as normal, previous recordings on SD-Card 1 playback fine (no errors).

There is also a strange behaviour on the two screens for the card: on page #1 after every boot up you read 32 tracks - even if on page #2 16 tracks was selected and is displayed at the same time. The X-Live seem to forget its settings other than before with 3.11 where it always came back to the state you left it at (e.g. 16 tracks ord 8 tracks).

The error is reproducable - formatting the card didn't change anything. 44.1 or 48 didn't make a difference. It was seen on minimum two consoles as far as I know at the moment. This is a major issue which needs to be adressed asap...

Can you confirm what firmware your X-Live card is using? I'm wondering if you happen to have either the original version, or A11 installed-the latest is A12. I have not checked mine to see if I can reproduce the error but will be doing some experiments later today.

Today I have recoreded a Multitracksession (32 Ch) to the SD Card (32GB) on my new Wing (Firmware 1.01). Routing direct from AES50 - A (where my S32 is connected). If I playback the Record it will jump with undefined timing in the song. Not groovy at all. Wild jumps in the Playback. I have tried different SD Cards, Both Slots and rebooted the Console. If I take the Recording to my DAW I will hear the same Problems in the files. Any Idea or soon bugfix? At the studio I did a recording to the SD Card from USB with no Problems in Recording or Playback, works just fine. If I route the Inputs of the Wingplayer to my AES50 (port A) there will be this problems as described above. Thanks for help or bugfixing.

48 kHz and I think it's not a Clock issue. Sound jumps out of timing back to normal and again after a few seconds out of time. It changes the beat and jumps forward with missing short parts in the track.

Need help. Been using laptop with Reaper for our backing tracks with an XR18. Laptop didn't work in our outside show because of humid conditions. And I tried a fan etc to no effect. We use Reaper with a few tracks to the audience and click and count in, along with the music via IEM'S. Each backing track is separate so we have full control over everything. What I'm looking is a DAW for ipad/android that will allow all the same features as with Reaper and a laptop that I described above. AND then to use ipad/android with the xr18. Anyone doing this already? I researched until I'm blue in the face and can't find anything out. Were not interested in recording and there seems to be a lot of options for that. We need for playback only, separate tracks with ability to control it all, plus click and count in for in ears only, not to audience at all. Can anyone help?

Okay here's what I'm doing. I use Karaoke Version for my backing tracks. We use the drums, background vocals and acoustic guitar to FOH.  All on separate tracks, not tied together so we have full control over them. Every track has been downloaded individually, converted to wav, and normalized as a whole. Each song is done this way, and normalization the same for each song. The count in and click for each song is also downloaded but they go to our IEMS only. Running everything through Reaper and using the built in interface on the xr18. I'm looking to do all this with an iPad or android tablet. I realize I won't be able to download each track the same way because of space limitations of the tablet and may not be able to download each track and multitrack with a tablet. BUT having click and count in to IEMS is an absolute must. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I'm desperate

Thanks for the help but that looks extremely complicated and I have no idea how and where in the world I would begin with that or if it will even do what I need.

Take a look at Audio Evolution Mobile Studio: http://www.extreamsd.com/

I find the Android version to be much better since it uses it's own custom USB Audio driver vs. using the built-in iOS audio.  It officially supports the XR18 and should do what you want.

On another note, why not just get a new laptop. It sounds like your laptop is having hardware issues.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

I am still new to the Routing & scene scenario.

    1. How do I save my X32 rooting so I can save it including to USB?

    2. How do I save a Show?

@Virtue67- Everything, including all routing (that CAN be saved that is) is included in your saved scenes. Restrictions as to what gets installed or changed with that scene are done on the reloading of it using safes if desired-but all the info is saved to every scene. Default scene load installs all settings including the routing.

TO SAVE A SHOW TO USB DRIVE

Press the VIEW button in the SCENES section.
Place the USB Drive into the USB RECORDER port located to the left of the LCD screen.
Press UTILITY located to the right of the LCD screen, it will light up green.
Click the 6th encoder [EXPORT SHOW "USB DRIVE"].
Using the 4th & 5th encoder enter your desired show name.
Click the 6th encoder [SAVE], the message "SAVING SHOW FILES & ALL SCENE FILES" will be displayed along with a progress bar, wait a few seconds.
When this message disappears, the show has been saved to your USB drive.

TO LOAD A SHOW FROM USB DRIVE

Press the VIEW button in the SCENES section.
Place the USB Drive into the USB RECORDER port located to the left of the LCD screen.
Press UTILITY located to the right of the LCD screen, it will light up green.
Click the 5th encoder [IMPORT SHOW "USB DRIVE].
Rotate the 1st encoder to choose the show file from the USB drives contents.
Click the 1st encoder to select the show file.
Click the RIGHT PAGE arrow to confirm that you wish to load the show and overwrite all scenes.
The message "LOADING SCENES" will appear along with a progress bar.
Once the message disappears the entire show file will be uploaded.

PatrickGMaillot >>>Everything, including all routing (that CAN be saved that is) is included in your saved scenes. Almost true, at least true at 99%. There are 3 sets of parameters that are not part of scenes or shows and can be saved if needed, especially if you want to fully duplicate a desk to another (not your case here). External utilities have been developed for this. -Patrick

The short answer is; you can not. Not complete that is. Unfortunately there are some settings that do not get saved in scenes or shows. There are workarounds developed by third parities, but come on. How can anyone design a device like this without including a complete copy/backup solution in this time and age? For my use I have a X32-rack that sometimes is used as a stagebox and sometimes as a standalone mixer. Having to manually fix the signal routing manyally every time is **bleep**bersome. It should have been as easy as to load "stagebox", "mon-mix" or "foh-mix" scenes.

The X Air manual says that 18 channel recording could be done from the X18 to a USB recorder (not sure what multi channel USB recorder they mean).

Does it mean that X18 could be used as an 18 channel sound card with Ableton Live, and all the live instruments connected to the X18 inputs can be mixed and processed in Ableton Live?

    Thank you.

Yes that is correct Charles. I use Reaper to do the same thing. If you are using a Mac or linux box, the X18 is Core compliant, meaning that added drivers are not required. If you are using a Windows PC, you will need to download and install the ASIO drivers (found here). Then in X-Air Edit, you assign the desired channels in the In/Out, USB Sends screen.

I am at the USB Sends screen, but I don't know how to assign some channels to play in Ableton Live. What should I click on?

The USB Sends screen is a grid of USB outputs (left side) and input selection (top). The circles represent the assignments. The default is 1 to 1 (USB 1 assigned channel 1, tapped analog). The taps (bottom reference) are where in the signal path the signal is extracted to go out the USB channels. Analog is tapped just after the preamps (no channel processing). To change the taps, right click on the circle and select the taps.

Just got my XR18 today, lined up USB playback from DAW - using the EDIT program, very loud- I dont see any output on MAIN meters (aux yes)  and no adjustent of main sliders or channel sliders make any difference. Its as if Ive bypassed the mixer straight to main outs.

Do I need to make adjustment somewhere else in the mixer EDIT program to be able to see and control the output level?

Hi Finlay, welcome to the community.

This could be a routing issue in the XR18. If you select a USB pair as the source for Main on the In/Out -> Main Out page, you will have no control of the output volume. Instead, set Main to Main LR and route the USB returns to channels or Aux using the In/Out -> USB Returns page. Then you can switch the channels to use the USB return on their Input tab - or use the USB Plugin button on the In/Out -> USB Returns page which switches all channes to USB. The Off (Analog) button switches all channels back to analogue inputs.

I will be converting from X32 to wing and I have p16 units  I know I connect them to the s16 box and still use them but I assume there is not an ultra net menu on the board itself to assign the sources. Does anyone know how I would assign sources to the p16s once connected.?

I don't have a Wing, but from what I've read others saying, the channels used for the X32 ultranet connection are the ones after 32 on the AES50 connection bus.

Until someone comes with a clear answer, try assinging the channels you want to the P16 in the output section to the A33-A48 channels of the AES connection you use the S16 on and see if you hear anything.

      Hi @WITELITE ,

@ValeriuM_Trufin is correct that the stageboxes (including the S16) get the Ultranet signals from the 5th and 6th banks of 8 on the AES50. Since there is no banks of 8 limitation in the Wing, it is a simple matter of assigning the output signals you desire to AES50 33-48.

@WITELITE  Just an aside here, going way back with aes50 and m/x32 stageboxes. As far as the stagebox Ultranet port goes it was never really p16 directly anyway. It was always just aes50 33-48 which at the default setting was assigned p16 1-16-and could easily be changed. It was (is) a great thing for sending alternate assignments for the IQ speakers and different  p16 "zones" to In ear monitors etc. This ability turns out to be yet again a brilliant perk with regards to the WING as one can (as @Paul_Vannatto said) put out just about anything into either p16m or iq speaker streams by assigning sources to the wing aes50 33-48 and using a stagebox Ultranet port. Also the adat port on the S/DL16 (and 32] carries what is assigned to aes50 17-32. So the adat port can still live with the Wing too!

Interesting. Does that mean if I set up the P 16's with different stage boxes I could have different channels assigned to them, versus connecting them all together from one S 16 unit?

I'm setting up a small church system with X32 and FOH amps at rear of sanctuary and S16 on stage with outputs to a powered sub and an amp with 2 monitor wedges -  pretty basic.

The mics and instrument inputs are all working through the S16 but only 2 of the output channels (7&8) on the S16 have signal. I currently have the sub on output 8 and it works and one monitor amp channel works on 9 but channel 7 has no signal.

I thought I followed the set up tutorials and the house sound works fine but I can't seem to get the monitors and sub to operate correctly apart from the FOH main fader. I want the output to the sub to be post fader but I need the monitor channels (which I have tried unsuccessfuly to configure on mix bus 1 & 2) to be set up as prefader.

I've uploaded one of my recent scenes in a zip file here. (It wouldn't let me upload the .scn file). Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Steve, welcome to the community.

There does not seem to be a file attached to your post. As you discovered, the forum will not accept .scn files unless they are zipped. Try again and we should be able to help you with the routing.

Hi Steve, the zip file is empty. How did you create it? On Windows, you can right-click on the .scn file and select Send to... Compressed (zipped) folder.

Yes the file is good. If your S16 is set to mode 1, you should get mixbuses 1-6 on S16 outputs 1-6, Main L on output 7 and Main R on output 8. The master faders for mixbuses 1-6 are all right down but on Routing -> Outputs 1-16 you are using pre-fader taps for buses 1-3 so they should be at full level.

XLR Outputs 1-4 on the X32 are being routed from AES50-A 1-4 - which would be direct inputs from S16 inputs 1-4. Is that intentional? The same four inputs are also being mapped to Aux inputs 1-4 using Aux In Remap. Is that also by design?

Which buses do you want sent to each of the S16 and X32 outputs?
