Just wanting to keep with the turbo sound brand and look and am looking for subs that would compliment the ip300s. Was looking at the ip12b but have no use for the extra power amps for passive tops and also would need a crossover from what I've been reading. Any help/suggestions would be very welcome.

What is the main way you are using them? Mobile dj, solo musician, indoors, outdoors, corporate events? Maybe someone's ears might perk up to help if you are more specific and they can tell you what use they have given them.

Tannoy Launch CVS 1.0 series in-ceiling loudspeaker range

Tannoy, the legendary UK-based manufacturer of reference monitors, hi-fi loudspeakers and commercial speakers are announcing a new range of in-ceiling loudspeakers.

The CVS1.0 series combines Tannoy’s class leading design pedigree and world respected driver technology to produce a new range of in-ceiling loudspeakers designed for cost critical applications without compromising the high level of performance users expect from Tannoy. The range is designed to excel in a wide variety of applications such as restaurants, hotels, houses of worship, retail, educational facilities and business of all types that require a combination of excellent music and speech sound quality and exceptional reliability.

The line-up consists of six models that are all available in semi-matt black or semi-matt white finishes. All deliver the power handling, wide frequency response and low distortion typically found in more expensive products. Each model has a powder coated aluminium mesh grille with dust protection. The drivers are mounted in a UV and weather resistant UL 94-V0 and 94-5VB ABS front with a plated steel fire can enclosures. In addition, each model has EN54-24 certification for detection and fire alarm systems, UL1480 certification for fire protected signalling systems and UL2043 certification for air-handling spaces.

The CVS 301 is designed to provide superb audio performance and features a three-inch polypropylene full range driver with butyl rubber surround for enhanced durability.

The CVS 401, CVS 601 and CVS 801 feature four, six and eight-inch coaxial polypropylene drivers with butyl rubber surround and ferrofluid cooled soft dome high frequency drivers that provide class leading sound quality.

The CVS 801S in-ceiling subwoofer uses an eight -inch polypropylene long-excursion driver that delivers weighty extended and controlled bass. The low pass baffle design allows the use with other loudspeakers without the need for a crossover. A low impedance version is also available.

    Other features include:
    • Supplied in pairs complete with all mounting hardware
    • Wide constant directivity for optimum coverage
    • Mounting C-ring and ceiling tile rails included
    • Steel cover and strain relief clamping mechanism for fire rated cable
    • Transformer Taps for 70V / 100V line systems or 8 Ohm operatio
    • Ten-year warranty

Do the come on briefly then turn off, or do they stay on. If it is the latter, you have a hardware problem.

Anyone experience a low level buzz with Reveal 802s? Do you have suggestions on how to fix this? I have a small buzz in one of my units, a bit annoying when listening to music at low levels.

      Hi Sean ( @SeanThody ),

Welcome to the community.  The only way I know to reqeust parts is through the CARE portal that can be found here: https://www.tannoy.com/brand/tannoy/support#googtrans(en|en)

There's been a lot of issues with the websites lately so it may take you a few tries to open a ticket.  Once you get the ticket submitted you should get an email auto-reply.  If you don't you might want to check your spam folder.  The email will say that you will get a reply within one business day but, be patient, since that's more like a week or more these days.

      Hope this helps,

    Hello everyone,

I find the connection at the back for the power cord very shallow and does not fit tight. The weight of the cord pulls the plug slightly down and does not seat properly.

Also, what is the threaded hole at the top of the speaker for and where can I find the size of the threads.

    Thanks so much

Hi, I have 2 B210Ds and I love them SO MUCH!  Also, both have very snug power ports so I would inspect yours to see if there's some kind of debris shoved in there...  Also, the threaded hole in the top is for the optional Wall Mount Speaker Brackets.  Hope this info is helpful, Ken

I bought a subwoofer THRUTH B2029A (fairly used) on eBay, and after carefully reading the manual and following the voltage selection procedures, I powered on the subwoofer. After awhile (5min) I discovered the woofer was seriously heating, and shut down after some minutes. I thought it was disconnected from the mains but not. I troubleshoot (checked and replaced the fuse) but it was not coming up.
Later I discovered the toroidal transformer is faulty.
Now I want to replace the transformer, what’s the specifications I should be looking for.? And what’s the voltage that enters to the PCB of B2029A?

Hi everyone, I just bought a pair of IQ15 and a IQ18B, anyone knows how can I do a Factory reset on the settings and parameters? Would it do it automatically if I just run the firmware update? Also it is the older version of both, they still have the 1.7 firmware, any problem when updating to 2.2? Greetings

Hello, they should update just fine to the latest firmware. I don't recall a factory reset option but the parameters are straightforward enough to easily set such that the DSP is bypassed and eq is flat etc etc. I also think it more or less resets when you update it.

      Hi @netoalas

Power up the unit whilst holding down the PROCESS button to enter the self test.

Press the buttons in sequence to run through the self test. The buttons on the LCD will fill as buttons are pressed, once complete the unit will be reset to factory settings.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your help. I tried this and it did make a sort of test but it didn't reset the settings. I just updated the firmware and gave a reset to everything by selecting the loaded parameters the speakers have. It worked like a charm, everything is sounding tight.  I am loving the crisp high and mids I am getting, and the sub is not as chest pumping as I expected but I am loving the sound and depth it produces.

Hi @AlexLane @GaryHiggins, I have a different question. Would you consider the SETUP that it brings INIT_DATA the best standard setup for the speakers? What would you consider the BEST standard parameters for the IQ 15 and the IQ 18B?

greetings and thanks for your awesome help

      Hi @netoalas

In the Xover settings menu, on the iQ15 select the iQ18B setting

SImilarly, on the iQ18B, in the Xover menu, select the iQ15 setting

That will match the two up perfectly, with no need for extra settings

I have a pair of IQ15 speakers and wanted to downsize my 18" subwoofers to lighten the weight. My question is whether I can safely put an IQ15 on pole inserted into an IQ15B. My concern is whether there's a risk of it falling over due to both weighing almost the same.

For those interested, I heard back from Turbosound and they stated I can place the IQ15 on a pole on top of the IQ15B. There are no issues with weight distribution and the set up would be secure from falling over.
