My new Plethora arrived today - it's every bit as good as I had hoped. Splendid bit of kit.

Perhaps a stupid question, but I can't find parameter anywhere to set midi channel for receiving PC message to change board. Anyone know where is this?

    Thanks!

Wired into the rig this morning and able to test; again, assuming I havent missed something..

.. The Plethora seems to be listenening on all channels for a PC message.

I can work around this with PC messages by the order in which the messages are sent. (The PC messages for Px5 sent last in string, on exclusive channel). Not ideal, though.

This has fairly major red flag for future midi implementation. Please do not implement any MIDI Cc control without also implemeting the ablility to set Px5 to a single channel. It would render simultaneous use of other midi enabled pedals / synths in the same MIDI environment pretty much unworkable.

Can I please log the ability to set midi channel as a feature request.

Had a look at the care ticket system, and that doesn have option for this - only faults and service requests.... thanks!

      Hi @TC-Mike

I have just installed the FW update 1.1.52, to find that CC midi mesages have been added but no way to set midi channel yet. I have to now take the PX5 out of my midi chain until I can set channel as these CCs are already in use. I would roll back to previous FW, but the file doesnt appear on downloads section anymore.

Is midi channel setting coming soon or can you send me older FW?

      Thanks!

I purchased a license for the Finalizer app yesterday. I recieved a reciept from PayPal for the sale but I have had no email containing the iLok registration code. I submitted a support request (01000012) but have had no response from that either.

    Hi,

I can't figure out where can I find the current firmware version of my Flashback 2 or Corona Chorus. There's a Kb article which says "Click on the "i" in the bottom, left hand corner of the editor window", but there is not "i" button in the TonePrint Editor anymore.

If I click the cog-wheel icon I can see "Serial number" and "build", but the build numbers (ie. "604" for my FB2) doesn't seem to be related with a firmware version in the format of x.x.x.

I can't upgrade blindly my Corona if I don't know if I have a higher or lower version.

      Hi Mr Blackbird

there was never a firmware update released for FB 2, so you have the latest.

We are currently in the process of beta testing a FB2 Firmwae update that adds an additional tap tempo mode (if MASh is disabled)

For more infos, see also this thread:
      https://community.musictribe.com/t5/Guitar-and-Bass/Flashback-2-Delay-TAP-TEMPO-firmware-update/td-p/268827

Firmware updates (if available) can be found on the download pages of the respective product page:

eg latest version of the Corona formware  1.0.03 (build R1806)  firmware update can be found here:

      https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories/Tcelectronic/Guitar/Stompboxes/CORONA-CHORUS/p/P0DDC/Downloads#googtrans(en|en)

Firmware version of TP pedal is also shown in Toneprint app if pedal is connected ( "Settings" tab in app)

How can I get support to respond?  I send a request to support on Sunday (Case: 00996905and have yet to get a response.  I gave a defective Flashback 2 and I’m seeking help getting the issue resolved.  The unit was working just fine and suddenly this past Saturday, I no longer get a dry signal.  The ”kill dry” is off and I’ve tried both the mono and stereo inputs and outputs...still no dry signal.  The pedal isn't even a month old...not only am I very frustrated by the apparent defect, the inability to get in touch with tech support is beyond ridiculous.  Can you please help and/or point in the right direct to get help?  Thanks!

I purchased the TC Electronics Finalizer App for $99 on 23 August. On 24 August I raised an issue with the TC Electronics service team. as the application would not work at all on my PC.

It is now two weeks later and this is still not working. I have exchanged numerous emails with Pedro Rodrigues at MusicTribe and I have asked for a refund multiple times. This is not acceptable.

Pay me my refund TC Electronics.

Hi, I'm in exactly the same position and cannot get a proper response from support. Pedro has responded but not answered the question. I cannot use the cloud as it says my ID and email address are incorrect. How can that be if i can log in hear. There is no option on the app to retreive a forgotten password if that was the case either. It's very poor service.

      Hi thepc997,

Try deleting the Preference file found here:

      WIndows

      C:\Users\”Your Name”\AppData\Roaming\TC Electronic\Finalizer\app.xml

      macOS

      /Users/”Your Name”/Library/Application Support/TC Electronic/Finalizer/app.xml

The switch to Windows Audio before first launch of the app - then You should be able to select Your RME interface.

      All the best from

    Hello!

I recently purchased the TC Electronic Iron Curtain Noise Gate and, at least in every description that I've read, it states that there is a Toggle Switch that allows for the user to choose between muting signal completely or reducing unwanted noise. Is that something that is located inside of the pedal's chassis or am I missing something else?

      Hey @Jallenackerman,
Woah you're right!  I'm a little out of my element here commenting on TC Electronic products, but I actually own this pedal on my gigging bass pedalboard so your post caught my eye.  Over the weekend I did some digging and found nothing online about this feature, so I opened up my pedal...Iron Curtain Guts.jpg

Unfortunately now post-surgery, I can assure you there's no extra switch inside the Iron Curtain.  Feel free to check yourself though, there are no warranty seals so you can open up your pedal pretty easily.

Looking at the website, there's a bullet point that says "Toggle switch lets you choose between muting signal completely or reducing unwanted noise"

Looking at the Product Information Document (in the "Downloads" section), I see the exact same text about the "switch" is in there too.

So what's up with that?  From my experience at TC Helicon, I think I've got an idea of what happened here.  The Product Information Document is created quite early in the product's life, sometimes predating the actual design of the product itself, and later the webpage typically takes text from the PID.  I think what happened here is the idea of a mute/reduce "Toggle switch" never actually made it into the product, but the text still carried over from that ideation PID onto the website.

Sorry to say I don't believe the Iron Curtain is capable of a full-on mute mode, but just the default noise-reduction mode (which has been great for me and my high-gain bass).  I'm going to pass this on to our web team and hopefully have that incorrect bullet point removed from the pedal's page.  Thank you for pointing out this discrepancy, and hopefully your Iron Curtain is still just as useful to you as it is to me despite not having this extra feature.  Cheers!

      Hi Larry,

the Reverb 4000 is a very versatile Reverb unit that includes all TC Reverb algos from the system 6000.(Vss3 , Vss4, DVR 2, Non Lin2 , Reverb4, Ambiator)

Wether you want crisp short rooms for drums,  lush long reverbs for vocals or realistic simulations of acoustic spaces, the Reverb 4000 has you covered.

I recommend to try one out at your dealer of choice  one or watch some videos online , so you get a better idea about features and most important: the sound.

The manual can be found here:

    Hi there,

since I was puzzling around quite some time how to install the Toneprint Editor on Windows 10 and finally solved it, I'd like to share my experience with you.
Honestly: I was quite disappointed to find no helpful installation instructions for the editor on the official website. But hopefully my posting can help fellow musicians to save them from trouble.

I am using a quite new Windows 10 installation and kept up-to-date (as of January 2020).

When I executed the downloaded TonePrint.exe (Version 4.1.23) the editor would not start caused by:
    - missing MSVCP140.dll
    - missing VCRUNTIME140.dll

After searching through Microsoft support pages for trustworthy sources to get these files I found out they are part of Visual Studio and often needed if a third party distributes software built with Visual Studio.

You can get a installer for these files for free from the official page:
    https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/

You have to scroll down to the section "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019".
At first I selected only the version for x64 as my computer is a 64-bit. But that was not sufficient to start the TonePrint editor. So I also installed the x86 version. And finally the editor could start.

Dear software team @ TC Electronic: please provide current installation instructions with your software or distribute all needed files in one decent installer!
BTW: and please fix the "Help" link contained in the editor. It leads to a non existing webpage.

Does anyone know if I can get a replacement for it?

Does anyone have a user manuel, operating manual and/or service manual or the TC 1140 HS or TC 2240 param eq/preamp? I'm wondering what the internal switch on the preamp curcuit board serves for.
