    Hi All,

I'm looking at selling an X-Touch and an X-Touch Mini and I'm wondering where a good place would be to sell those?  I've found several sites that operate off of commission and I'd prefer to pass the savings along to the end user vs. paying a commission.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Ken

    Hi

I just got my X-Touch this morning, and I love it.
(First Behringer product too.....I'll get that K2 soon as well =P )

    I'm using FL Studio 20.
The important parts of the X-Touch are pretty self explanatory, but the function buttons

on the second row below the screen ( F1 to F8 ) seem to serve no purpose in FL studio.
However, F1 to F8 on my qwerty keyboard open up different windows in FL such as the mixer, playlist window, piano roll, channel rack etc....
Is there a way to assign these function keys on the X-touch so that they open the same windows as those function keys on my PC keyboard ??
    Thanks

      Hi @BluMagoo

Aside from the different operating modes, nothing on the X-Touch is assignable. It's a clone of a Mackie Control (plus a mode for Behringer/Midas digital mixer control). All your assignments will be made in FL. Look for information and tutorials about FL and Mackie Control.

I bought the all access Slate plugins to hopefully use with my X32 compact for LIVE mixing.

Now I've been told I need a host software...DAW... to use the Slate plugins.

I was told by someone in a pro audio department to use Cubase.

But I don't want to spend any money on software until I can figure out what's going on.

    ??!! I need help !!??

The goto daw on the cheaper side is Reaper. You can evaluate it for some time and then pay a minor $60 for it.

You can also try Ardour which is completely free.

While not free, LiveProfessor is commonly used as a plugin host when a daw is an overkill.

I am considering the X-touch Mini to use as an MC controller for Cubase. I have not been able to confirm that it can be used to control track volume in this mode. Is this possible? If so how?

If this is not possible please let me know so I can consider other options. I have an X-Touch which I love, but I use that for my XR18 and want something small for my studio desk.

    Thanks for your time,

    Ivan

Hi! I bought the X-Touch Extender and I am planning to use it exclusively for the cc midi controllers spaecially CC#1,7,11,21 . I tried my best to let it work but with no luck. I am using Logic pro x and I don't have any other x-touch controllers.

    Please advice!

    Thank you

      Hi @SamsMusicFactor

The extender is not programmable. You'll have to make your assignments in Logic. I would try Ctrl mode first.

Thank you! @DaveMorrison! It worked on kontakt with libraries but not yet with Logic on CC midi controllers. When using MC mode it works with logic.

      @SamsMusicFactor

The Extender is a weird beast. The only thing it seems to do well is MC (at least in logic). The reason I think Ctrl mode might work is that the Faders transmit CC in this mode as opposed to PitchBend when in MC mode. I think you would have to assign every Knob, Button and Fader in Logic to do what you want. @KenMitchell's advice is very sound as the compact is more versatile.

Nothing on the Extender can be changed (apart from the operating mode).

Have you tried something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm77G15H6zo

@DaveMorrisonYes! I tried this and it works on instruments or any knotakt library, you can easily assign faders or encoders to already programmed libraries or intruments inside Logic. But I can't find a way to program midi controllers CC#. Maybe there is a way OR AS YOU GUYS SAID IT'S NOT RE-PROGRAMMABLE !!

After following all the steps in the manual (set gain,

etc ).  When I turn on the board, I immediately get feedback

I have put all XLR lines in the correct inputs and out puts.

    What am I doing

    wrong ????

    Hi all,

Anyone know the part number for the FCB1010 power cord? I don't believe the cord that came with my controller is the right one. It keeps falling out of the receptacle on the back of the FCB.

    TIA.

      Hi Carl @cschmidt01 ,

The FCB1010 uses a standard IEC type cable that is identical to a computer power supply cable. I have been getting some of these ends to replace critical cable ends (for my X32 Racks, etc.) that I want to have guaranteed they won't pull out. They lock to the IEC jack very well.

Hiya,I wonder if anyone can help me? I'm trying to programme a FCB1010 to send midi commands to an Xr16, mainly to mute the MainLR and the FX Sends and/or returns. I'm a complete midi novice and it's a tortuous journey, I'm struggling to follow any of the insstructions and when I think I've cracked it, I can't equate what you load into the pedal to what the Xr16 manual says it wants.  Is anyone able to give me a simple, idiots-guide, step-by-step instruction? I mean, the X216 manual doesn't say anything about Programme Changes or Channels, but that seems to be the first thing in the FCB1010 setup. AAARRRGGGHHH!

      Hi David @McElviss

Here is the definitive midi chart for the X-Air consoles. As you can see, muting channels, etc. require CC commands, not Prg Change commands. The latter is used only to load snapshots. From what I can see in the FCB1010 manual, it only works with Prg Change commands. So the 2 are not compatible.
