    Hi,

When the limiter is off, is there still a master limiter activated as to not push the system beyond it's capabilities?

    Hello!

I just purchased a Turbosound iP300 and had a question that is not addressed in the Quick Start Guide. I'll be using this speaker with my Laptop, Audio Modeling SWAM Wind Instrument software, EWI5000 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interfacel. I need to use both Left & Right output signals from the Focusrite. Is it OK to use both Inputs of the iP300 for this?

    Thank you,

    Doug

      Hi Doug ( @dhsherbert ),

Sorry no one replied to you earlier.  I just stumbled upon this when I was looking at your reverb question.  Yes, there's no issue with connecting to both inputs on the IP300 at the same time, whether it be from the same interface of different interfaces.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

I need dimensions for the Tannoy CMS ceiling speaker backcans.  There is no dimensional informaiton on the data sheets.  Specifically, I need dimensions for:

    CMS 503 Backcan PI

If avaiable, I would also like to get CAD files (dwg or dxf) for all the Tannoy backcans.

Hi everyone, I just bought a pair of IQ15 and a IQ18B, anyone knows how can I do a Factory reset on the settings and parameters? Would it do it automatically if I just run the firmware update? Also it is the older version of both, they still have the 1.7 firmware, any problem when updating to 2.2? Greetings

Hello, they should update just fine to the latest firmware. I don't recall a factory reset option but the parameters are straightforward enough to easily set such that the DSP is bypassed and eq is flat etc etc. I also think it more or less resets when you update it.

      Hi @netoalas

Power up the unit whilst holding down the PROCESS button to enter the self test.

Press the buttons in sequence to run through the self test. The buttons on the LCD will fill as buttons are pressed, once complete the unit will be reset to factory settings.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your help. I tried this and it did make a sort of test but it didn't reset the settings. I just updated the firmware and gave a reset to everything by selecting the loaded parameters the speakers have. It worked like a charm, everything is sounding tight.  I am loving the crisp high and mids I am getting, and the sub is not as chest pumping as I expected but I am loving the sound and depth it produces.

Hi @AlexLane @GaryHiggins, I have a different question. Would you consider the SETUP that it brings INIT_DATA the best standard setup for the speakers? What would you consider the BEST standard parameters for the IQ 15 and the IQ 18B?

greetings and thanks for your awesome help

      Hi @netoalas

In the Xover settings menu, on the iQ15 select the iQ18B setting

SImilarly, on the iQ18B, in the Xover menu, select the iQ15 setting

That will match the two up perfectly, with no need for extra settings

    Hi!

I am considering buying NuQ 118B-AN subs and I have a question regarding that model. In the picture presenting back of the speaker there are 4 bolts in each corner (16 in total). Are they indented for wheels? Does the speaker come with wheels in the box, as the iQ18B does? Manual nor product page says nothing about attaching wheels, so I am a bit confused.NuQ118B-AN_P0B4K_Rear_L

Thank you in advance for clarification!

@MateuszI'm not an employee but those holes are for the wheels and I would be very surprised if the wheels were not in the box-I would protest loudly if not

    Hi there,

I would just like to enquire on more information about the FBQ feature of the DSP on the IQ series.

When using Auto and mode on the FBQ feature, do the filters get lifted after a while or how long do they stay activated?

Can someone also more clearly explain to me the difference between the Auto mode and the Single mode?

Does Single mode only filter a maximum of 8 frequencies and thereafter nothing?

    The manual says this:
Auto: Automatically sets as many filters as required. Whenever a new feedback frequency is discovered, the first filter will be released to attenuate the new frequency, and so forth.
Single: Activates the FBQ (feedback detection) functionality, up to 8 feedback filters.

On the HW:B FW2.2 IQ's the Learn function also does not seem to be working correctly.

~ Thanks in advance for any answers / replies

    Regards

      Nothing from anyone?

One of the biggest reasons for moving over to a complete Turbosound IQ rig was the advanced DSP functions and especially the FBQ. But I need to better know how it functions so I can use it correctly and with confidence.

      Hi Armand @Armand_RSA ,

I think the reason no one has responded to your question is that most of us that use the iQ series of speakers do not use the feedback portion of the DSP. Back in the days when I had an analog setup (with an A&H GL2400 console), I used the Behringer Feedback Destroyers on the monitors. When I switched over to the X32, I continued to use the Feeback Destroyers until someone challenged me to learn how to properly ring out/EQ the speakers. I accepted that challenge and glad I did. The monitors sounded so much better and clearer (and had more life to them). Eventually I gave away those Feedback Destroyers. So I pass on the challenge.

      Thanks for the response.

The thing is I am a DJ, and run directly from my DJ mixer into the IQ's. I used to have a JBL EON rig that I ran through a DBX PA2. All the built in DSP options on the IQ's was the main reason I upgraded, so a non-functioning FBQ feature is somewhat annoying.

      Hi Armand,

On the HW:B FW2.2 IQ's the Learn function also does not seem to be working correctly.
Can you detail the issue here a bit more? Happy to report this to CARE and see if they can run some tests. We are certainly not aware of an issue like this.

Auto: Automatically sets as many filters as required. Whenever a new feedback frequency is discovered, the first filter will be released to attenuate the new frequency, and so forth.
This means that up to 8 notch filters will be added automatically, once the 8 are used if another feedback frequency is detected then the first filter will be overwritten by the new one.

Single: Activates the FBQ (feedback detection) functionality, up to 8 feedback filters.
Once 8 filters are deployed, it will not add or replace any more.

      Hi @AlexLane,

Thank you for the info on Auto and Single FBQ modes.

Last question on that, when I use Auto mode and feedback occures and the IQ "catches" that frequency, does it "release/lift" it after a while, or does it only reset when you power off the unit?

HW:B Firmware 2.2. Learn function problem:
When you activate the FBQ Learn Function, it should output a few loud "clicks/pops" (So the unit can hear what frequencies are causing feedback) I have tested this on Firmware 1.7 and it works, but on Firmware 2.2 it is completely silent.

Here is a picture of the feature I am refering to:

Does anyone have a parts manual or parts list? I had my speakers bashed with a bat (client bought me new ones) and now I'm trying to get parts to fix?

Customer support is unresponsive and I have questions. I am trying to replace power supplies for my QFLex16 m-1 and sb pairs. When we removed these from one of our spaces the power supplies were left behind. I have reached out to spare parts tickets, the customer service portal and anywhere I can try to get ahold of people but have had no luck. trying here...

      @vincentmac

Hello Vincent, welcome to the community.

The Care ticket is currently the only way to request technical support, service and spare parts from any of the Music Tribe companies. Did you get Care tickets raised? You should be able to see them through the Care Portal. Some people have missed responses because the emails were routed into their spam folders.

If you tell us the Care ticket numbers, we can get someone to check into them for you.

Hello all. I recently purchased the Studio 50USB studio monitors from a seller on Reverb. The package is an unopened package and the speakers were brand new warranty replacements. Initially, when I turned the speakers on, there was a repetetive clicking and the speaker turned on and off with the clicking every second or so. With some work with the power cable, I was able to get the speakers to stay on, however, now there is no sound coming from them at all. I was using the quarter inch input ports as well as the usb ports directly from my computer. Anybody have an idea of what the problem could be?

TL;DR - Speakers are new but no sound comes out when powered on.
