Using a new Behringer X-Touch Compact. Issue is the encoder knobs take two full wrist twists to go from 0-127 meaning I have to twist a knob twice to pan from left to right. If we grab a knob to sweep a filter or pan from left to right it's impossible to do it smoothly due ot having to twist the knob twice. It's basically taking twice the time to scan values from 0-127. Is anyone else having this issue? Sweetwater said their other units behave the same way. I cannot imagine an audio engineer putting up with this. Anyone know what's up? How do I make the knob behave normally (meaning a twist from 7 oclock to 5 oclock) ? Hoping to hang onto it. Need insight...

      Hi Jason ( @jsin ),

Welcome to the community.  Are you using it with a mixer or with a DAW?  If a DAW, what DAW are you using?  Depending on the DAW, you may be able to increase your step size for the encoders.

      Hope this helps,

      Ken

      Hey KenMitchell ,

I'm using with Abelton Live. I tried both MC & Hui mode. Tech support @ Sweetwater said they were experiencing the same issue. I spent two nights trying to find a solution. I've looked up scripts etc. but have never made or edited a custom controller script. Seems like an whole other can of worms. Are you aware of a way to make it work? Many thanks...

    Hi

I just got my X-Touch this morning, and I love it.
(First Behringer product too.....I'll get that K2 soon as well =P )

    I'm using FL Studio 20.
The important parts of the X-Touch are pretty self explanatory, but the function buttons

on the second row below the screen ( F1 to F8 ) seem to serve no purpose in FL studio.
However, F1 to F8 on my qwerty keyboard open up different windows in FL such as the mixer, playlist window, piano roll, channel rack etc....
Is there a way to assign these function keys on the X-touch so that they open the same windows as those function keys on my PC keyboard ??
    Thanks

      Hi @BluMagoo

Aside from the different operating modes, nothing on the X-Touch is assignable. It's a clone of a Mackie Control (plus a mode for Behringer/Midas digital mixer control). All your assignments will be made in FL. Look for information and tutorials about FL and Mackie Control.

I have a Dell Spectre 360 that is a lot faster than my pc for recording. I want to migrate to my laptop. It only has USB 3.1 or thunderbolt or USB type C gen 1.   What do I need to get this done. Suggestions?

A USB A to B cable for the normal USB port. A USB C to B cable (or USB C to A adapter & normal A - B cable) for USB C. USB 3.1 is backward compatible with USB 2.

    Hello,

I was wondering if the x-touch extender can be used with the x-touch 1? I was given the x-touch 1 as a gift and I want to add some faders. Thanks

I don't think I was clear in my last post: Actually I want to know how to control for example an equalizer using X Touch functions. Can someone help me? I am currently using DAW Reaper. Thanks.

    Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the X-touch mini in MC mode to control the track send levels on the XR12 busses? So not the bus levels but the actual track levels going into a bus.

    thanks,

    Frank

Hiya,I wonder if anyone can help me? I'm trying to programme a FCB1010 to send midi commands to an Xr16, mainly to mute the MainLR and the FX Sends and/or returns. I'm a complete midi novice and it's a tortuous journey, I'm struggling to follow any of the insstructions and when I think I've cracked it, I can't equate what you load into the pedal to what the Xr16 manual says it wants.  Is anyone able to give me a simple, idiots-guide, step-by-step instruction? I mean, the X216 manual doesn't say anything about Programme Changes or Channels, but that seems to be the first thing in the FCB1010 setup. AAARRRGGGHHH!

      Hi David @McElviss

Here is the definitive midi chart for the X-Air consoles. As you can see, muting channels, etc. require CC commands, not Prg Change commands. The latter is used only to load snapshots. From what I can see in the FCB1010 manual, it only works with Prg Change commands. So the 2 are not compatible.

Hi All, I've been a Behringer fan and user for years and stepped up to buying the x-Touch. Cubase Pro 10 recognizes the x-Touch in all three aspects of Studio setup (see images) but nothing works - actions in cubase don't register in x-touch, and moving sliders in x-touch have no effect in Cubase:

    Thank you, b

Hi... I don't know if it will help you but I had to put my XTouch on Mackie Control (MC) setting... I found that HUI does not work...

You do this by holding the channel 1 select button down while you power on the device... then dial the first dial to MC... then dial the second dial to USB...

Then you press the select button again to reset the XTouch...

      Hope this helps...

      Hi,

beside Kingurus answer you also have to tell Cubase, that you're using a Mackie Control Unit. Do this in the studio setup (see your first screenshot). Add a new controller by pressing the little plus-symbol in the upper left corner of the window. Be aware that you add a Mackie control unit and that your device is turned on. On the  right side of this screen select x-touch as midi in and out device. Unselect x-touch as midi device on the other control devices (your 2nd and 3rd screenshot) or simply delete these controls as you don't need them really. Click apply, your x-touch should work now.

      Greetings

Hello. I have an idea to use LV2 for a live stage anf be able to switch on/off every microphone of 3 singers directly into mixconsole, or-at first- through VL2 and than in mix.

And my question: Do You produce some "Signall Switcher" suitable for microphones (symetric inputs and outputs, rezistance against hum and noise=ground loops), and easy useable?

Prodece it some othes arouvnd The World?

Thanks for Your good help. George55g
