    Hello all
I am a behringer fan and have used many products over the years and have always been very happy with the
products.
However I always like to view the products in person and see and ask for advise from a retail store rather than buy online.

I have also sent an email about this to Behringer and am waiting for a reply.

I live one hour south of Barcelona the capitol of Spain and the 2 Largest retailers of musical products (Alfasoni & Microfusa) and other shops only stock small behringer products.
I am using a Behringer umc uphoria 404hd in my studio but want to upgrade to a much larger system.
I am deciding on whether to buy the 8 channel Behringer UMC1820 and link it with my existing UMC 404 and buy the X-touch DAW controller with logic pro or to Buy the x32 compact mixer which will also do both of these things.

That is why I would like to view these products in a shop to get a feel for these products and also get some in store advice on which way to go.
Has anyone had the same problem where you live?
after all Barcelona is a the Capitol of Spain and a huge city with thousands of musicians and loads of recording studios. The 2 big stores and many of the other shops do stock other mixers, Audio Interfaces and other large products from brands such as Focusrite, Prosonus, MIdas,Tascam, Mackie etc but not any of the flagship Behringer products.

Thank you for any advice you can give me
    Victor

Yes I have experienced something similar. The local Behringer dealer does not stock a lot of the higher end products such as the X32 and the staff would not be knowledgeable of these products in order to help someone come in off the street. Also I'm not sure how useful it would be to see the X32 "in person" since the real power is "under the hood" (so to speak) and someone well seasoned with the product(s) would be able to explain the advantages and disadvantages of each of the products. The best place to get this type of info is here. If you give us a description of what you want to accomplish, we'd be glad to help you out.

First time posting, so please let me know if you need anymore information to help me solve my issue. I am using a Mac.

Essentially, I am trying to route some tracks in Logic Pro to output 3-4 while others play in 1-2. I am working with a two monitor setup, so I do not have the capability to route 3-4 through hardware (unless I used some sort of cable junction to route each to its respective monitor). Output 3-4 in Logic will show as active, but I do not get any response from my monitors.

My question is, short of buying some new hardware, is there a way to route the outputs 3-4 from the interface to play through output 1-2, simultaneously?

Hi @xerofox , welcome to the forums.

The UMC204HD does not have a built-in way to mix USB 3/4 with 1/2. USB 3/4 is only available on Playback Outputs B or through headphones via Monitor B. There are some possible work-arounds though:

Mix the two stereo buses in Logic before sending them to outputs 1 & 2.

Use two TRS/TRS cables to connect UMC204HD Playback Outputs B to Inputs 1 & 2 and switch the output mode to MIX.

Add a small stereo mixer (e.g. Behringer 502) to mix Playback Outputs A (1/2) and B (3/4) to send to your monitors.

      Hi @Moshebear ,

Welcome to the community.  When you say "hear music" I assume you mean something being played from the iMac itself?  I'd recommend using PB3/4 (USB3/4 OUT) for this so you leave PB1/2 for use with the inputs.

Take a look at this diagram which will help you understand how PB3/4 is routed in the interface: https://github.com/mcnster/umc-404hd-signal-path/blob/master/umc404hd.pdf

The reason I recommend PB3/4 is because it only goes to the direct outputs and the headphone jack and not to the Main LR.

On the iMac, launch Applications->Utilities->Audio MIDI Setup. Under "Audio Devices", select the 404HD and click on Configure Speakers.  Select USB 3 for Left and USB 4 for Right.   On the 404HD depress the Mon A/B button to select "B", adjust the headphones volume,  and you should hear whatever is playing from the iMac.

Let me know if you have any questions.

      Ken

    Hello guys,

I bought an interface from Behringer U-PHORIA UM2.

The drives have been installed and the card recognized by the computer.

The output signal is ok, but the input sound pickup is too low.

I've already increased the gain by 100%, but it's still very low.

If you can help me, I'll be grateful.

Does the UMC404HD provide 1.5V feed for iphone or Android-type microphones.  I.e. is the 1.5V voltage to power the FET in the electret microphone provided on the 3.5mm jack socket?

    Does it support four-pole 3.5mm headset-type jacks?

The UMC404 doesn't have any 3.5mm sockets.  The haedphone jack, if that is what you are referring to, is a standard 1/4" stereo headphone jack. Microphones are only accepted on the 4 x XLR sockets which can provide 48V phantom powering for condenser mics.

    Hi!

I recently purchased a Xenyx 302 USB, and to my disappointment, this audio interface does not work in the Mac Sierra. Is there way to make it work? Did I just throw my money in the trash? Help me please!

      Hi Blake @blaked2,

Welcome to the forum. What OS are you running on that 2009 computer? Have you installed the appropriate UMC drivers?

I have windows 10 64bit. I installed the driver 4.59 as well as the ASIO4All driver. I tried using Asio4all but there's no signal from the mic I plugged in. There's an option for the Asio UMC driver but when I choose it gives me the message, "Error initializing Asio driver".

I've heard through Amazon reviews that many people have connectivity issues as well as sound playback issues with this particular interface. I purchaed in one year and 3 months ago so seemingly the warranty wouldn't cover replacing it if the issue is a hardware one with the device itself.

      Hi Blake @blaked2,

ASIO4All tends to block the 4.59 ASIO driver. Uninstall ASIO4ALL and the 4.59 should work. We've had a few others that did the same thing. Also in Windows 10, make sure the microphone is not turned off in the privacy section (Win10 has a nasty habit of turning this off, which also affects the ASIO drivers).

I uninstalled asio4all and still can't see my instrument's info on the track. Also, when I select asio 4.59 in Reaper's device section the input and output options are blank. The error initializing driver message is still there. Are you talking about the "privacy" section on the computer or the program?

On the computer. I use Win7 and are avoiding Win10 as long as I can. But there have been reports of this privacy setting (microphone) in Win10 that blocks the ASIO drivers.

    Hi All,

I am a worship leader and I use Ableton Live for live multitrack sets every week. I was using a windows based pc for a while but I have switched to a mac (old pc kicked the bucket). I now have a problem that I can not fix. I am getting a bleed between channels. I can hear the click and the cues faintly in the house no matter what I do. Here is what I know.

Its not my computer (Tried my buddies brand new mac that he uses for the same setup at another church, his did the same thing)

It's not the cables (switched between several and settled on brand new shielded xlrs)

It's not at the board (Even if I completely disconnect the click track send (xlr from the interface) the channel is still bleeding the same way. So no physical click/cue output and still getting click/que faintly)

It's not necessarily the interface (I hooked up a scarlett that did the same thing, just much more faintly)

I have ran tracks for years and this is the first time that I have had this particular problem and it has me stumped. I could probably make the scarlett interface work because it has a downloadable "Scarlett MixControl" that allows you to specify settings for the interfaces interaction with mac. From what I have seen, there is nothing like this for the UMC404HD because it comes "plug and play" ready for a mac with default CoreAudio drivers.

Please let me know if you know of any software that I am missing that would allow me to control the interface a little better on the computer side or of anything that I might be missing. This past Sunday was an acoustic set at the last minute and it looking this same for next sunday if I don't get this resolved ASAP!

Thanks and I look forward to the replies!!!

Hopefully someone can answer this. I want to send a Stereo source from my Xr18 to a Stereo track in Reaper. I haven't been successful. Can anyone tell me how to make this happen?

I do have the xr18 driver installed. I've been recording with this set up for almost 2 years. I can record mono tracks easily, done it thousands of times. Never tried to record a Stereo source. I run my Mic into a preamp to Reaper(usually channel 7).
So now I've linked 7&8 on the xr18 and send it to a Stereo pair in Reaper. But only one side records.

    Thanks,
    Don.....

Sending a stereo pair from XR18 to Reaper should be no different than sending 2 mono signals. What USB channels do you have channels 7 and 8 assigned to (on the In/Out, USB Sends)?

In Reaper, you would setup a track and select a stereo pair for the input.

Thank you Paul.  I got it.  It was simple.   I guess I was making it too complicated.  Can you answer this for me?  I posted the same question in the Reaper and this was one of the replies.

"XR 18's usb only provides 8"

      Is that a true statement?

      Thanks again for your help,

No it is not Don. I can record up to 18 channels using my XR18 (or MR18) using Reaper. I've produced 2 CD's for a Catholic group using these consoles.

Thanks again Paul.  I've recorded maybe 6 to 10 channels at once but never tried 18 at once.  I wanted to reply to that comment but I wanted to make sure I had the right information.
