For the flashback delay 2 is the modulation setting the same 2290 mod that is on the flashback delay 2x4?  Does the 2290 delay on the x4 sound the same as the 2290 on The 2x4 flashback delay but with other options?

The 2290 delay sounds thre same on all Flashback models.

The Flashback 2 version have the added feature of the MASH switch, whcih is mapped to freeze and repeat the delay buffer indefinite and input to delay FX  is closed, so you can solo dry over the delay drone as long as MASH switch is pressed down.

    Hi,

Just picked up the Spectradrive and super useful having a PSU included.  What's the power output of the included PSU?  I currently use a BOSS PSA PSU which outputs 500ma so will the PSU included with the Spectradrive have a similar output and be able to drive up to 4 pedals if needed?

Just got my Plethora X5 and I'm really pleased with the quality of the effects.  I can cnnect to my PC via USB OK but no matter what I try (Android, iPhone iPad, etc) I can't get the Bluetooth connection to work.  Any ideas anyone?

    hi,

i moved your post into the correct forum...

If you want to start out simple without using the aToneprint app, just  use the "DETUNE" type and set the amount of detuning for each Pitch shifter voice via VOICE 1 + 2 interval potmeters -> in DETUNE mode they shift the pitch with up to 50 cents instead of semitones and combined with the 2 direction toggle switches, you can very easily dial in the setting you mentioned above. If you just wnat one detuned voice with 7 cents up, set VOICE 2 to OFF.

If you want to customize your own Detuning toneprints via the app Try the DUALDETUNE template from the  as a starting point, if you want dynamic detuning via the pressure sensitive MASH switch.. You can customize the detuning amount either fixed for each voice, or change it dynamically via MASH switch. On the MASH mapping page you can set up the parameter curve for the detuning.

P.s.. you can have a fixed custom detune amount per voice and on top have different detuning via MASH switch, where the value of the detuning will return to the current pitch value of the potmeters of a toneprint when the MASH switch is released.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Having a great time with my new board. Quick question: I was under the impression a standard power supply such as my voodoo should power this. Am I wrong? My voodoo powers all other TCE pedals, but not this one. I have had to use the power supply that came with the unit.

      Hello,

The PLETHORAX5 requires a minimum of 600mA to operate. Power supplies like the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 3 have dc taps that are 500mA each which would fall short.

Ah, well explained. That's unfortunate for me. Thanks.

Curious to know how close you might be able to get to a tremolo sound with a FlashbackX4? Suggestions?

    Thanks!

Not really. you can though  try to use the Through Zero Flanger of the Modulation block as it will cacnel the signal at zero-crossing(like a real Tape reel Flanger would) and though gives a tremolo kind of modulation that can be used on the delay repeats. Setting the delaytime and feedback to minimum values and can help you to get a modulation only effect without the audible repeats of the delay.  You can use eg the ChorusOnly template as a starting point and then change effect type to TZ flanger and experiment with the settings.

This  programming method is also used for the Hall of Fame 2 "TreMVerb" templates but works also better on a constant reverb tail that is modulated over time than on the wet delay repeats..

      Cheers,

      Mike

    Hello everybody,
I have a problem with my mark V 90w head and the new TC Electronic Plethora.

By testing the Plethora in that case guitar> Plethora> AMP R.A.S, but in the effect loop (in system 2 or 4) my sound is muffled.
If I don't activate any effect and with the effect loop activated, the sound stays faithful (thanks to the true bypass system of the pedal, I imagine), but as soon as I activate an effect, it's as if I turn my tone knob all the way down to the bass and I lose at least 6dB.

Side power lamp of the Mesa, I did not see any particular anomaly after inspection.

I tested the Plethora on another amp (Marshall avt100x) and I also have a change of sound but here it is the opposite effect, more acute, less bass and a slight fuzz effect, as well as a small loss of sound.

    Thanks for your feedback

    hi Ruezz,

currently tempo feedback as BPM just works via TAP tempo mode when in PLAY mode, but the feature has been requested by 2 other customers beside you and is on the list for the roadmap. being able to set Bpm values in EDIT mode makes pretty good sense.

Would you also like this option in the Toneprint app when programming delay toneprint for your Plethora?

    Best regards,

    Mike

      Hey Mike,

Thanks for the reply. I think creating the ability to manually enter BPM could work in either play or edit mode by utilizing the parameter turn dial atop each pedal slot. I will be using my plethora in a worship setting so I have set up "a board per song" with all effects needed for that particular song. But worship music often requires very specific bpm on delay times for a variety of delay types. (sometimes 3 different delay types all with very specific, and different bpm's) It is often able to get very close by tapping the tempo in, but it would be much easier to rotate a dial, set it at 36 bpm, and since the plethora automatically saves that setting, it would be set perfectly for the click track every time I access that board.

I like your idea bout being able to manually enter bpm in the toneprint editor, but I wonder if then a bpm is set for a delay (say the analog dotted 8th), and is saved for a certain board (Board 1); does that mean that every time I access the analog dotted 8th for a different board (Board 2) the bpm I originally inputted will default load? If that is the case then I would lose Board 1's BPM when I modified the delay's BPM on Board 2? What do you think?

      Thanks again for the reply,

      Zack

BPM on both the pedal and app would be great...but on the pedal if I could only pick one.
