    Hi Guys,

I own the TC Helicon Voicelive Rack.

I would like to perform a FACTORY RESET to the hardware and return it to its natural state when it was shipped.

Any information or guidance will highly be appreciated.

    Thanks

      Hi @Soulfood ,

All the information on how to perform a factory reset on Voicelive Rack are on page 13 of the manual. I've copied and pasted it here:

"This can be performed to initialize all presets and
system parameters back to their factory defaults.
      To perform a global reset:
      1. Power up the unit.
      2. When the first text is displayed in the LCD
window, hold the 4 buttons listed below and
continue to hold until the reset prompt is
      displayed:
      • µMod
      • Delay
      • Reverb
      • Tone
This procedure can take up to 2 minutes."

I am trying to do this using USB only.  USB alone is connected to the DAW. Not so straightforward... The result is garbled and weird.  Main issues:

    1. How would VL3X get Natplay/Roomsense - where would it get harmony scale reference from? I have tried using my guitar track sent to R and Vox track to the L (2 and 1 respectively) - nah! It comes back mixed together in a stereo, but all I want is Vox alone.

    2. What is the recommended set up? What is DAW tracking? How is it different from DAW insert?

    3. Can it even be done?  Guitar track in for scale reference Natplay that does not output. Dry vox in and wet only vox out (without the guitar).  All using USB only. (Or would I have to use my sound interface to route vox in to mic, guitar to aux/monitor for natplay, and main xlrs back in for recording? That would be sad...)

    SETUP:

INPUT - USB mode – DAW insert (what is DAW tracking?)

INPUT - input type USB: voice L/ instr R

INPUT - Lead mute – on

SYSTEM – Global Natplay Source – autosense

SYSTEM – Mix roomsense to NP - on

I recently picked up a Martin CEO7 which has no pickup.  I am considering adding a K&K Mini, but need to know if a pre-amp will be required.
    thank you.

      Hi @us_shooter ,

I use a Seagull with a passive K&K mini pickup into a Play Acoustic, and it works fine. I find the K&K to be quite high output for a passive pickup, and I can add any additional gain in the Play Acoustic mixer or FoH can add it from the mixer.

    Hey there,

I bought the Perform-VE and wanted to install it on my computer.
Unfortunately there are no drivers available ?!
I followed the link to download the driver https://www.tc-helicon.com/de/products/perform-ve/support, but there is only a 404 page ...

Can someone help me find the right PC drivers for the Perform-VE?

    Thank you in advance

Does nobody use the Perform-VE with a PC? Does nobody have drivers to help out? I'm slowly despairing of the situation ...

      Maybe someone has another idea?

      Hi @isvel & @Dieb ,

We're currently experiencing website issues and the Perform VE driver and manuals are missing from the webpage. If you check back in a couple days they should be back!

    Hi,

If using a Presonus Tube V2 preamp, it’s recommended to go into a Voice Live product using the TRS input, but the Voice Live Touch 2 has only XLR IN, guitar IN, and (mini) AUX IN … no TRS input

      Hi @QT ,

The Voicelive Touch 2 should be able to take the balanced xlr outputs form the Presonus preamp. I would just make sure that the output gain from the preamp and the input gain on the Voicelive are well balanced. You shouldn't have to worry about the preamp doing damage to your Voicelive Touch 2 unless it's output level is very high, but even then it's unlikely you'd do any damage.

    Hi there,

I'm a bass/lead vocal in my band and I'd like to know if the Harmony Singer 2 would work with bass?
Some say it would work with the root only, some say it'd need the third as well.
    Could you clarify?
    Take care,

    Stan

      Hi @Stan6889 ,

Our adaptive harmony engine only works with a root and a third, so in order to accurately use your bass for harmonies you'd need to play the third. The Voicetone H1 pedal would likely fit your needs better; it has adaptive harmonies like the Harmony Singer but also allows you to set the scale of the harmonies so you could have accurate harmonies regardless of whether you're singing.

      Hi @TCH-Rob !

Thanks for your reply! However, I'm sorry but I don't quite get the last bit of your answer.

Could you please clarify? Thanks a lot!

@Stan6889 no worries, I remember writing that last sentence and doubting it's readability.

The Voicetone H1 allows you to create harmonies two ways: you can set the key manually, or it can automaticaly detect key from an instrument. The Harmony Singer only uses automatic key detection. For bass, I'd recommend the Voicetone because generally the automatic key detection isn't accurate unless you're playing a chord. If you got a Voictone H1 you could set the key manually per song, and it would still create harmonies even if you weren't playing your bass.

Hope this clarifies it, let me know if you have other questions!

Hi there,I play with the idea of getting a "Perform V" or "Perform VE" and have difficulties with the decision.I need it for quick voice adjustments via the push of a button in livestreams or recordings. The "V" now obviously has no gender function like the "VE". But I saw that in the app e.g. a "men to women" effect is included. The question is how good are these effects, to what extent are these presets adjustable via PC or app, can I also create new presets myself?I would like to create a set of "voices", which I would like to use depending on the context. I hope you can help me. thanks in advance.

      Hi @Dieb ,

Are you planning to use it for a musical application or otherwise? For flexibility and ease of use I would use the Perform VE, but it you're doing more livestreams and podcasting type stuff you may want to check out our GoXLR. It has a bunch of presets and some sweet effects for podcasters and streamers to mangle their voices. It has most of the effects that the Perform V and VE has but it's tailored streamers.

I use my VoiceLive 2 with a guitar through it for harmonies. The problem I am experiencing is that I am not getting much output from my PA with either my voice, or the harmony voices. I have to set my PA mic channel almost to max volume, while other singers (with other brands of vocal enhancers) are getting plenty of volume output at about 20%. Apparently, some setting is not correct on my VL2, but I have no idea what it is. Re-setting the mic gain is not the answer, as I have tried that many times, including changing mics. Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

What are your "mix" settings on the Voicelive 2? These can be accessed with the 4 knobs under the screen. If you send a picture of your "mix," "input," and "output" settings that would be very helpful for troubleshooting the issue.

Just an idle question but, what's the differences between the voicelive play, play electric and play acoustic these days ? what with firmware updates etc.

If you had to choose one as a backup, are they much of a muchness ? or has one, sort of eclipsed the other two ? (If you already have a plethora of guitar effects pedals)

      Hi @PetGerbil ,

Voicelive Play, Play Electric, and Play acoustic are all quite different in their features. Voicelive Play only has Vocal effects and doesn't have an instrument input or thru for harmonies. Play Electric has the most guitar processing options of the two; it has 1/4" guitar inputs, outputs, and thru, making it easy to play with external guitar amps and pedals. It also has amp models similar to the Voicelive 3, compression, uMod, delay and reverb. Play Acoustic doesn't have a seperate guitar output or thru; it uses the xlr outputs for guitar, which is very useful if you're using an acoustic but not great for electric. It also has uMod, delay, reverb, and bodyrez.

If you're planning to use guitar pedals, you almost definitely want the play electric (or the discontinued play gtx) because of the expanded output options. Play electric is discontinued though, so you'd need to find one new.

Also, if all you need is vocal effects, we may or may not have a new product coming this year which may or may not be in the play line and which may or may not have a guitar thru output
